La bellas fit with problem. I had discovered the nut on mine had slidden up a tiny bit. It was sticking out the top of the neck like a few centimeters. I was able to shove it back down with my thumb.

So, I've been looking, but how do I join this fine club? I mean, I bought the bass.

Has anyone put a bridge cover and/or a pickup cover on a Squier Mini? Would love to see some pictures if you have.
Covers are way too big for the Mini. You'd basically be left with a tiny space between the two to pluck close to the bridge, or couple inches to pluck between the neck and pickup ashtray. They would look ridiculously oversized on the Mini.
About this video in particular or about swapping the pickup?

It's the perfect backup bass too. And the only one I take to rehearsal because it only weighs 2.5kg and it fits ina. Stratocaster gigbag. No more bumping the headstock against low ceilings on trams.
I placed a jazz cover that I have lying around on it just to look at it and posted it in this thread earlier. I was intrigued by the idea, but it didn't look that good. I didn't have a precision cover to try that.
A P cover would be a little smaller, but anyway, posted so you can get the idea.
Hi all, just picked up an immaculate 2020 mini p bass in black for a good price. There is a bit of fret buzz on the low E and also the A strings. Fretboard is poker straight with my steel rule and the saddles for both strings look quite high already. Action is low, 1mm at nut and 3mm at bridge end. I've given the truss rod a 1/4 turn clockwise to try to give some relief and lowered the saddles slightly. Think the buzz is less (wasn't too bad to begin with tbh) but may need a bit more adjustment to optimise. D and G strings look pretty ok really with saddles around midway. it's just the E string still looks a bit close to the nut end frets with the saddle fairly raised. Any advice on adjustments to make, should relief be visible with a steel rule on such a short fretboard? Thanks
It doesn't really matter what type of cover as it'll get removed and lost anyway. You can't palm mute and play a lot of modern tunes with that cover in the way. That's why they stopped selling them.
I don’t have a single bass that doesn’t have ever so slightly visible relief. I tend to find that a little relief lets me get lower action than no relief, unless the fretwork is 100% perfect.
I dunno. If I had one I'd try it. But all I have is the Jazz cover and silver duct tape. I tried the duct tape, but somehow its muting my notes, so I had to give up on that one too.
I don't own one but if I did, I'd buy a bunch of electric guitar sets and experiment away. With it's supershort scale, the Mini P is uniquely suited for it (guitar strings should fit no problem - the G may have to be would bare-cored at the post, but that's it). The world is your ostrich!
