I'm not sure I would wait for a used Bronco in Shell Pink. Once they are discontinued, the price on those will only go up. Take a look at what shell pink Vista MusicMasters are selling for these days... they sold new for just over a hundred bucks. I wish I had bought 50 of them new and stuck them in a warehouse

I just saw a couple of those on Reverb for around $250 while looking for another "cheap" Bronco. Pink is just not my thing though.

If it makes you feel any better, I sold that particular Vista MusicMaster a few years ago to the bassist in a popular local garage punk band. He needed a bass as colorful as the guitars his bandmates used.
Since then, it has been all over the world and has had more adventures than I could have possibly given it... as per the photos below. BTW, I do have a second Vista MusicMaster which has been stripped to natural wood on the body.

Cheaper than Music Store, more expensive than Musik Productive. All of which have roughly the same delivery delay.

Hang in there, buddy, a used one is bound to appear eventually.
I myself am debating whether or not to buy a Bronco. As cool as it is, it's not good value with all its shortcomings if bought new. It makes much more sense to buy a used one and mod it to make it your own. Also I need a bass amp, can't risk blowing out my guitar amp and I'm tired of playing through Logic and headphones.
Look at me, talking about sense in a support group for GAS addicts...

i had far less issues with either of my broncos than i had with the mini precision. of all the many basses and guitars i've owned, the mini precision needed the most work.

btw, if one phones musicians friend, one can usually get a deal. i get $25 off my mini and sam ash gave me $25 off my red bronco.

That's exactly what I was thinking, when I made my earlier reply to Volker's dilemma post about which to buy first, that or a 2nd Squier Mini-P.

These pink Broncos will be much more inflated in resale price than Squier Jag SS basses have become, IMO.
