The Squier Mini Precision Bass Club

I just got my daughter a red mini p and I’m looking for a soft case with straps. I tried to search this thread but couldn’t find an answer.

Gator 4G Series Gig Bag - Electric Guitar

Has anyone tried this case yet? I think it would fit. I’m open to other suggestions. Thanks!

A Mini P is almost the exact size of a Strat, and should fit into just about any "regular electric guitar" bag/case.

EDIT - I see I'm late to the party. Oh, well!

I'd like to see a Mini-P offered in natural finish, like the P in your pic.

Maple fretboard too would be a plus.

If they presented those two changes, I still might buy one, in spite of the narrow nut. :D

And I would be willing to pay a few more bucks.

A FEW, I said ! :roflmao:

Just got this Darkglass rig delivered yesterday and I have been playing my Mini P through it all day learning some new songs for practice tonight...This mini P sounds so good through 900 watts :bassist:

Heh. I was window shopping for a Shell Pink Bronco, and I can find it for €175. But, no delivery time estimate.

A red Mini P at the same site is €144, with a delivery estimate of Jan 2021... along with a 5er set of Mikro strings (in stock)(throw out the G) for BEAD at €22... €166 total.

Black block inlays for the Bronco, red pearl "tumbling dice" inlays for the Mini P.

Hmmm.... It comes down to if I can afford it, which may not happen, which do I want more?

Get the pink Bronco first.

You are less likely to find one later if you buy the [2nd] Mini-P first, and if you later decide to flip whichever one you get first, the Bronco ought to hold its value better because it is limited edition.

Does the more expensive site give a delivery ETA on the pink Bronco ?

Whoa, great deal. I found it for 200 Euros, the store is in the Czech republic. None left in Poland.
I'd love the Shell Pink because it's rare but the Torino Red is beautiful (especially with the mods I have in mind) and it's 50 Euros cheaper.

If you want to tune down to B the Bronco with the longer scale is better. A low B on the Mini P would be Floppytown.

....rather than Funky Town. o_O

VERY true !

All the more reason to choose a Bronco [or any other 30" scale bass] over a Mini-P, Minion, or Mikro, if BEAD tuning is part of its destiny.

Another side question to Volker is :

Did you measure whether the pre-cut Mikro D string will reach the G post of a Mini-P ?

Music Store has the SHP Bronco for €199, in stock. That's out of my price range.
Hang in there, buddy, a used one is bound to appear eventually.
I myself am debating whether or not to buy a Bronco. As cool as it is, it's not good value with all its shortcomings if bought new. It makes much more sense to buy a used one and mod it to make it your own. Also I need a bass amp, can't risk blowing out my guitar amp and I'm tired of playing through Logic and headphones.
Look at me, talking about sense in a support group for GAS addicts...

I'm not sure I would wait for a used Bronco in Shell Pink. Once they are discontinued, the price on those will only go up. Take a look at what shell pink Vista MusicMasters are selling for these days... they sold new for just over a hundred bucks. I wish I had bought 50 of them new and stuck them in a warehouse :-)
