HOLY CRAP!

The Wife brought home the 2009 Star Trek movie to try it and I quit after 30 minutes, it was making me nauseous.
Waaay to much camera movement and them lens glares.

What the heck is up with all them camera lens glares?
It is not cool, made me feel ill and other movies do not get them, these ding dongs were adding them in as an effect to almost every shot.
There is no light to glare and yet there goes a blue streak across the screen.

I knew it was going to be bad but...
"Fun, Smart, Sexy, Sleek and Action-Packed." it says on the box.

Just listening to it with my eyes closed kept making me say, "No." and The Wife is yelling at the screen also for story holes and "You can not do that!".

Not going to go close to any of the other new movies.

I loved it--there were faults, sure, and it wasn't quite the same as the original--but they were fun & entertaining, and Karl Urban did a fantastic job as Bones.

Wasn't me. I'm just sharing. But I agree they used some kind of visual trickery.

Those damn relays cause nothing but trouble. It's a good thing they're easily accessible via Jeffrey's tubes that you have to crawl through instead of being tall enough to walk through.

Our family loves the DS9 'sode where Sisco becomes the fantasy writer. Amazing to see Michael Dorn with a normal voice and smiling.

I like them. It's a shame TNG never did one. There are some pretty good novels set in the mirror universe.

I think it was a wormhole alien induced hallucination, if I remember correctly, whereas the mirror universe episodes were in one particular parallel universe.

Yesterday's Enterprise?

An alternate timeline. The mirror universe that was shown in the one TOS episode, two DS9 episodes (or was it three) two Enterprise episodes, and Discovery (yuck), were in a specific alternate universe with the Terran empire.

Ridiculous. That's annoyed me my entire life. I think there's a throw away line in the episode about Picard being familiar with whatever they were looking for. Why risk a captain, or a 70 year old slight framed man on a physically demanding black ops mission, and Beverly.

Re watching all ST series (except the new ones) on Netflix. Watching DS9 and Voyager now.

It's a shame they dropped the animated series. It was silly but had some good stories.
