Yeah...Did you ever see the original Spider-Man series?.....Crude but I loved it as a kid

I remember they showed reruns of this at all sorts of times, at lunch time, after school, Saturdays, etc.
A classic, though low grade animation for sure.
One of the things I love about it is the music
Someone posted a whole bunch of it on YouTube--so I play the video int he background sometimes & there are some cool bass lines in some of it (Although some is played on brass, not bass)

Oh yes...what a difference a high quality orchestra makes......One of my favorite things about the Original Star Trek is the orchestral music score....that the other series did not capture...except the Youtube Star Trek Continues series.

Spock music, with all the bass and cello, usually used when Vulcans or Vulcan life was being highlighted in TOS was great. Who doesn't play that on their bass?

I just finished watching TOS episode "The Day Of The Dove".

This episode makes me question if something like this has been happening on Earth for a long time, maybe it's something more akin to Eckhart Tolle's "pain-body", but we certainly see in everyday life that people can be "taken over" by thoughts/feelings and commit violent acts that they would not normally capable of. .

The TNG episode "The Drumhead" is still poignant today as it was then. It shows how history can repeat itself.

It would've been awesome if it was an off the cuff Picard line but he was quoting the antagonist's father as a poignant little "**** you" to her. That's how you do a badass captain. With subtlety and style.

Coming to the end of season 6 (of 7) of Star Trek Deep Space 9 and Vic Fontaine just appeared.

I thought this was a great move on the writers part. Made the other characters more 'human'. To see Odo playing piano in his tux

His quintet reminded me of the trio I played in ; (singer, drummer, me on grand piano, synth and bass pedals.
We played all those standards... Very nice memories.....

He wasn't my favorite character but he was okay. He's obviously meant to appeal to Sinatra fans and that era of the lounge singer and all that. If there was gonna be a crew getaway spot like that I'm glad it wasn't a neighborhood bar from the 90s. Voyager has the French pool hall. That was kinda cool.

Just curious, why is there so much Janeway hate out there. I’m not responding to Gorn in particular, it just seems like there’s a whole undercurrent of dislike that I’ve never quite been able to figure out. What am I missing?

Just for the record, DS9 is my favorite of all the series. I like the slightly darker, less Pollyanna atmosphere than TNG

I also just finished the first season of Enterprise, and will admit that it is growing on me. It’s kind of fun to see the crew have to solve problems without all of the technology we’ve grown used to throughout the franchise. I understand that they have to keep with the technological timeline from TOS, but it sure seems funny that 100 years from now they still haven’t invented touchscreens.

Not even to save her crew, but just to shorten their trip home, she allied with the Borg: the greatest enemy the Federation's ever known. With little to no information on species 8472 and their motivations, she gave the Borg a weapon to defeat them. All to shorten the trip home. And then she did it again 20 years later when she went back in time, again, just to shorten the trip home. Sure Chakotay and 7 died and Tuvok had Vulcan Alzheimer's. She lost people close to her and that's understandable but she did things a Captain shouldn't do, and then they promoted her.

And she straight up murdered Tuvix. He was begging for his life and she killed him. Why? Because Tuvok was her mentor and Neelix was her pet and she wanted to save them because they were important to her. Two individuals, through an accident, became one. One sentient individual who came to exist through no fault of his own and he wanted to live. But she chose for him because she wanted her consigliere and her dog back.
