That’s pretty much it. His name is a play on Norm from Cheers. Part of the running gag is that other people would always say he was overly talkative. He was apparently quite the ladies man.anyone notice that the character Morn on DS9 is in almost every episode and never says anything? they even did an episode where he died but didn't really die.. is this the star trek version of a running gag?

Well crud. H&I moved TOS out of 8pm to 1am so they could put in Walker Texas Ranger.
also...did you know if you type the word s-h-i-t, talkbass automatically changes it to poopie?
here.. watch... poopie
Yes--and his name is an anagram of Norm, from Cheers--who was almost always at the bar...anyone notice that the character Morn on DS9 is in almost every episode and never says anything? they even did an episode where he died but didn't really die.. is this the star trek version of a running gag?
Yes, we noticed, and are not very happy about it. What we've been doing is streaming TOS from Amazon during its "normal" time, and then we'll decide if the TNG episode is a good one or if we'll just stream something else.
I can't filter episodes, I have to watch them all. And have, except for Enterprise which I'm currently bingeing on netflix. Did Discovery get renewed?
This is the 21st century. We have the internet. We have VPNs. There should be no technical issue with streaming/downloading American TV series... Or Canadian. Or Australian. (I'm knee deep in Big Brother Australia VIP as I type.)Well really bad news about Discovery Season 4 todayParamount only, and only in the US and Canada.

There were once pirates sailing upon the seas of data. Some say there still are. Some say they offer such things freely, merely to "stick it to the man."There is no technical issue, ... Not sure I would even pay Paramount+ for one series anyway.
Maybe it’ll do poorly enough to finally cancel. This could be a good thing.Well really bad news about Discovery Season 4 todayParamount only, and only in the US and Canada.
Another interesting thing from the video, Garrett Wang (Harry Kim) had repeatedly asked to direct an episode and was turned down and also asked for his character to be promoted from ensign and was turned down. When 7 of 9 came around, someone had to get the boot and he was apparently gonna be the one but he was featured as a sexy tv character in some magazine, so they kept him around and fired Kes.
This is apparently based on what he said in interviews. I’m skeptical. I think they would’ve kept an Asian character for diversity purposes instead of two attractive females, one of which was far more sexualized than the other.
Jennifer Lien used a constantly, consistently soft voice for Kes. I don’t know how to properly describe it. A loud whisper? It’s unnatural and off putting, IMO. It was fairly consistent throughout but it did somewhat normalize towards the end when she sorta became a more fully realized character. They gave her longer hair. Put her in more form fitting outfits. But it wasn’t enough to improve ratings and Jeri Ryan took over with her…assets. Is it just me that thinks the voice of Kes changed in a weird way from the early episodes? I thought she was an entirely unconvincing character until she returned as bad Kes. Harry was an essential part of the eternal Harry / Tom double act.

I think she’s a good actress. I’m not sure about A-list.Hey, Jeri Ryan is just a great actress, and I don't care how many sci fi geek boys drool over her, she is amazing.
She alone makes Star Trek: Picard worth watching. I'm not denying that she's very sexy, but for my money she's also an A-List actress.
