With TNG remasters you can see bolts and wobbling consoles and Data’s makeup rubbed off on things. Doesn’t it looks worse by trying to look better?
Looks like they are still on Netflix in Canada...
It’s too much on some tvs. It looks realer than reality. My tv is over a decade old at this point but fine for my needs. Any time I’m watching someone else’s fancy tv it’s really jarring. There was kind of a crisis among TV news broadcasters when they went to HD. All of a sudden, every blemish and wrinkle on their faces was clearly visible and makeup wasn't enough to conceal it. A lot of older journalists retired because of it.
III is such a beautiful story, my favorite of the 6.
They're supposed to be here in the UK but I'm on a mobile broadband connection so maybe it thinks I'm somewhere else!

I think frame rate has something to do with it to, as far as the tv goes. Not remastered Star Trek. I have friends with tvs that they’re used to, but to my eyes it’s bizarre. Like I said before, it looks realer than real and it’s not pleasant to watch.I cannot stand it...That is why I keep my TVs on MOVIE picture mode ....Ahhh....That's better

III was the funniest Star Trek movie until IVI didn't like ST3 when I first saw it in theaters and I didn't like it any better the few times I rewatched it on DVD. I just can't get over the total implausibility of the premise of the movie.
Vulcans can transfer the entire informational content of their being (soul?) to another person in a spontaneous 2 second mind meld?
The genesis device can remake a barren world with not just water and atmosphere, but also complex life forms like plants and animals and globally integrated ecosystems in a matter of weeks?
Spock's radiation poisoned and thoroughly dead and decaying body gets resurrected into a new spock "clone" (by being deposited on the genesis planet) all ready and prepared to be reunited with the former Spock's knowledge (and soul?) by transferring it from the earlier mind meld host?
It's really too bad, because everything else about the movie is outstanding. The themes of friendship and sacrifice are quite poignant.

Fruitier than a nut cakeWhat was funny to you about III?
Fruitier than a nut cake
the ear jokes
lots of little dialogue touches like that
Like when a movie or TV show can be serious, but still inject humour into it.OK well I’m relieved that you didn’t find the entire concept of this great movie a big joke.
Dr. McCoy: “I choose the danger… Helluva time to ask.”
Uhura: “This isn’t reality. This is fantasy!”
Makes everything look stagey ..like being at an improvI think frame rate has something to do with it to, as far as the tv goes. Not remastered Star Trek.
