Well, Jean-Luc has not aged well at all.
I really think a big part of that is simply the writing. I’m baffled why Patrick Stewart went along with some of it.
I like to take a lot of things at face value. Roddenberry slid a lot of "thought" into everything. Sometimes it was overbearingly apparent (which, apparently, people *need*) most of the times it was a lot more subtle.
I must subscribe to Prime again, I've only seen season 1 of Picard, but that was so long ago, I'll need to re-visit it. I've lost track of the various other iterations of Trek, recently. The spin off show, The Orville, was a good watch, but haven't seen that for a couple of years, either.
he is 82... I am surprised he is walking on his own in some of these scenesWell, Jean-Luc has not aged well at all.
We saw this episode last night. The main story is about a crew member who dies, is sent out into space for "burial", is found by a species that uses dead people to re-populate, and reanimates her. Then they change her DNA to be part of their species. But it also shows Seven trying to "supervise" a small group of children Borg who have been severed from the collective. Thus the meme. I liked it.
I love her character..and will watch the show just for her story lines.
Not just because I have a huge crush on Jeri Ryan as 7of 9..but because of her acting portrayal of the character...and her reconnecting with her humanity

Yeah, totally agree. She really does a great job acting the part of 7 of 9. She's on par with Leonard Nimoy's portrayal of Spock.

Into episode 9 of Picard and I'm kind of .. underwhelmed.
Too much dwelling on certain things, and many of the characters are so-so. I keep waiting for things to happen, but it drags on and on and on .....
The 9 episodes could have been condensed to 3 or 4.
So does season 2 get better?
And how about ST Discovery? and Strange new worlds? Are they good?

Too much dwelling on certain things, and many of the characters are so-so. I keep waiting for things to happen, but it drags on and on and on .....

Strange New Worlds is ever so slightly less offensive. The worthless piece of garbage known as Alex Kurtzman was not the show runner.
Do you like mindless action? Explosions? Meaningless violence for the sake of violence? You might like Discovery. Do you like Star Trek? If you do, you won't.

Body doubles for any scenes not showing his face. Shots undoubtedly filmed in his home in front of a green screen. A show they literally named after him and reworked to portray him as a flawless savior character. I'm not surprised at all he could pull that off.
This was a joke--because the picture was of Worf--so now he looks like a Klingon...Well, Jean-Luc has not aged well at all.
Any way--I know several people who are 82+ that walk around no problem & are in great health.
Some have health issues, but are doing pretty well.
I know a 91 year old who is quite spry.
