The Strymon Timeline: Damn straight, it needs it's own thread

Best fawkin' delay EVER! Honestly, when I first placed my order (less the 24 hours after first hearing about it) I was mad at myself for succumbing to the hype so quickly but I'm just floored by it's awesomeness. It fit so perfectly into my setup and you couldn't ask for more options. Do I need it? Hell naw! Do I lurv it? HELLZ YEAH!

The only thing I could ask for would be for dual delay to be a subset of the other mode. Some dual tape delay action would be just too sweet... or dual swells !

Yeah, so if you have one, post it. If you want one, talk about it. If you can't swing the cash, rob a bank. It's worth it :ninja:.

I really don't like you. :)

I can't be too jealous, as I just received an EHX Cathedral, but the Strymon Timeline is next on my list. Or was it the FEA Opti-Fet? No, the Daring Audio Phat Beam.

Seriously, my only problem with the Timeline is the availability. With so much other gear on my want/need list, I'm not going to spring for the Strymon until I can place an order and have it shipped. Pre-paying and then waiting 2 months just ain't gonna work (although your 2 week wait honestly isn't a terrible wait).

My worship leader uses this with his acoustic. It's amazing. he has a setting where it basically plays a pad beneath the chords he plays. It's like a droning setting. It sounds sick.

Every time I see this board or look at your youtube vids, I'm more and more convinced that I need a POG2 in order to live...

Thanks!

so the El Capistan isn't just a "go light" version of a Timeline?

i was imagining the Timeline was all of their delay pedals in one box.

the el cap focuses solely on tape echo. the timeline has tape echo, bucket, reverse, digital, filter, trem, patterns, lo-fi, etc. - strymon gimped the tape echo a little bit in the timeline to make it so the the el cap wasn't obsolete - but it's basically the exact same sound, minus a couple of features and less delay time.

I saw a few Timelines go for around $600. Some times folks just gotta have it and are willing to drop the cash necessary to make it happen.

As far as the Timeline vs. the El Capistan, I've never played the latter but when I saw the Timeline what drew me in was it's sheer versatility. That much, I think is undeniable.
