They're less fragile than you probably think, but they are still glass. I threw my Black Eye II out of my second story window over the summer for fun and the tubes were fine, but I don't recommend doing that regularly.

Km not that tough on my stuff, but I don’t baby it either. Just wanted to double check.
People forget that tubes were in tanks, boats all types of aircraft's, soldiers carried tube radios on their back during wars and they kept on working.
I cant imagine the conditions inside a WW2 tank were all that gentle on the tubes.
All the surplus of tubes from USSR were possibly made for their armed forces, they had tubes in the MiG fighter jets as far as I know.

I'm surprised some NOS tubes suppliers don't ham up "These are the tubes used in MiG fighter jets" more.
The only time I've had a tube break was when I pulled a top loaded one out of a pedal, it slipped out of my hand and smashed on my tiled kitchen floor!
It would have survived in the carpeted lounge.
Light bulbs are made and shipped all over the world and stay intact and they are more fragile than Tubes!
I've seen a few that will mention that they're military grade tubes, but exactly what tubes are used by a weapon system might start to slip into classified territory so it's probably hard to verify what went where. I interacted with some old tube equipment at my previous job, and I know those schematics and part lists were classified.
Ironically that's where I started getting into the mini-tubes; they had to maintain the old equipment so they had bins full of NOS tubes, so it wasn't a big deal when a couple 6N21B disappeared here and there.

Pretty bold of you to assume I prepare things ahead of time instead of scrambling to get them put together at the last minute.
That's probably the exact URL I will be using, but I haven't made the page for it yet. It looks like they finally (lol) started work on the enclosures, but it will still probably be a little longer before they ship, then a couple days transit to me. I have started building up circuit boards for it though, so I can be ready to drop them in as soon as the enclosures show up.

Ok, hear me out….. tube powered cab sim? Could that even be a thing? Or do I just run my cab sim into my neptunium for warmth?
It exists. I doubt it'll come into production though

Venus X had a single-patch IR loader built in because I figured out how to do that, but that's the closest I've come to making Gondwana a reality so far.
I have video, but it involved multiple cameras and separately recorded audio, and I never got around to putting ut all together.
As mentioned I was working for a while on a tube-driven IR loader, but my software developer helpers keep ghosting me. I still want it to happen, but my coding skills aren't to the level I want them to be for this project.
Venus X had a single-patch IR loader built in because I figured out how to do that, but that's the closest I've come to making Gondwana a reality so far.
Smoke Signal, like the pedal it was based on, had a simple op-amp based fixed filter that did a rough approximation of a cabsim.
