By design, the AU tends to be a pretty even-tempered "neutral" tube; so the differences between various 12AU7s will be less drastic than the differences between 12AX7s (and even AX differences are more subtle than people exaggerate about). Finally at the point where I have potentially narrowed down some options for some stock JJ tube changes in my Sushibox Finally v2 - Thinking of buying a NOS RCA 12AU7 Clear Top and a NOS GE 12AU7 Short Plate.
Any final feedback / other opinions before I buy?
That's already exactly how I'd describe my MORE, and even my Finally to be honest...This. For me the Neptunium makes everything sound "bigger" with more depth and heft. It also smooths out the high end and drives I run into it (or I think I perceive that anyway). I've tried multiple times to run my board without it at the end of the chain and it suddenly feels less alive and kind of dead.
Still going to be a little ways out, I have a few other things I need to get off my plate. But it will come.Beginning to lurk for this fabled Neptunium re-release...
Well it's one faster, 'innit.this means it goes faster too, right?
I've certainly been wanting to try both of those. The Finally especially for the grit. I do utilize the EQ on the Neptunium so that's why I'd have to compare before I could ever justify moving the Neptunium or something. I've tried it "flat" and it loses that something that my ear likes. That's already exactly how I'd describe my MORE, and even my Finally to be honest...
(and the Finally comes with added feature of being able to dial in a little more character and even grit too if desired)
I'm trying to join the mailing list but it won't send the confirmation email :/ would like to see what was teased! The only thing harder than cropping this picture so hard it hides all the details is going to be keeping this thing a secret for 2 more months.

Something seems to be up with the mailing list signup. I'll take a look, but I may have to bother @Pedalnetics and ask him to fix it.I'm trying to join the mailing list but it won't send the confirmation email :/ would like to see what was teased!
Unfortunately no, Per My Last Email (PMLE?) is somehow both more and less complicated than Furthermore, so I already have a production-ready build. I'm kind of kicking myself now though, PMLE was originally intended as an April Fool's day pedal, but it's honestly kind of amazing. I had a wild "I wonder if that would work" idea and it worked better than I expected.F U R T H E R M O R E
