Well my Finally V3 has been in customs limbo for over a week and today I got hit with a letter asking me to fill out a description of the item plus all relevant documentation, declaration of safety, proof of purchase and so on to the post office or they won't release it.
Luckily I can do it via email but what a hassle. Plus I'm flying home today so I have to take the letter with me to Italy.

Don't know if this is due to the new regulations. I never had to do this with electronics before.

Gives me a tad anxiety over a planned order in the next week as I'm in the UK. Already sweating over the tax bill a bit, hoping it slips through!

Is this Poland?

For my international friends, I've had a couple people recently (mostly in Europe) email me requesting formal invoices to provide to customs. This is an extra step that I have to generate, but I have a template so it doesn't take me too long and I'm happy to do it as needed.

There's the money part which is difficult in itself but can be solved with money.
The safety part however is more challenging. If what you're describing is aiming at the safety issue (missing CE sign etc.) then there will be difficult times ahead.

I read this while I was in a meeting so I didn't really register everything I was seeing there the first time around and had to re-read. Can you let me know what sort of things they were looking for on relevant documentation and declaration of safety? PM or email would be great if you don't mind.

I want to be aware of what's going on with this since I haven't really seen any action on it since it took effect, and I want to make sure I'm on top of it. I would like to continue to sell in Europe, it's just been difficult getting clear answers on what exactly is needed.

I will sort it out with Nathan and then I'll post here so everybody is informed on what to do.

I don't think this will be much more involved than what we already have to do when purchasing electronic parts from Tayda in Thailand.

I saw a long post by AgedHorse on this kind of thing not too long ago

Hi - a question about the Neptunium and the Finally v3. I see that the tube colouration is sent to the XLR DI, but is it also present on the 1/4" output?

Thanks
On Neptunium the answer is always yes. The tube preamp output also goes to the 1/4" output.

On Finally v3 you have more options. The toggle switch up by the 1/4" output jack is the source select for that output; set on "PRE" it will give you the tube preamp output, and set for "DRY" it will give you a dry unaffected passthrough.

I should probably get that Finally v3 manual finished up and published on the site.

Thanks - I'm really interested in getting 'valve' warmth onto the end of my bass signal chain I have. Currently, I'm running an Empress compressor though into a NUX preamp. I got the NUX as a quick fix when I got back into playing bass last year - but since then, I've fallen for the old-school P-bass sound - either flats or a more driven rounds sound.

The NUX has some useful features - including a second footswitch for a parallel drive circuit - but it all sounds a bit harsh and processed, so I'm keep to get rid of it. If I go the valve preamp/DI route to replace it, one thing I'll miss is the instant overdrive facility on a footswitch. I'm not after a fuzz as such, or something too wild, just the ability to get some valvey crunch and grind into the sound instantly without having to adjust a pot during a song. Is there a Sushi-box solution to this? I suppose some kind of boost may work in overdriving a Finally/Neptunium but I may not want a big jump in output.

Thanks for any thoughts.

Then again - looking through this forum - I may break out the soldering iron and have a go at making a JPTR FX Jive clone to stick in front of a Finally or Neptunium

A new batch is good, considering people are reselling Neptuniums for $450+ here and on Reverb.

Did they even use them, or are they just commodities to be bought and resold for profit? It's ridiculous. Go make a buck somewhere else, guys.
Always blame the people buying them, not the people selling. Without mugs being prepared to pay over the odds, scalpers wouldn't exist 🙄
