I was originally thinking of doing 100 because that's how many I did last year, but given how quickly the first 40 went (sold out in 5 hours) I was thinking about bumping it up to 200. Now that you mention it though, it seems pretty reasonable to stretch it to 237.

Does anyone have any videos/sound clips of hard rock/metal demos of the Finally? Any version is okay with me. I currently have the DP-3X as my band tone, but it is a bit too distorted for my personal taste and I miss my GK tone stack when I'm not playing with the band. Would love it for recording covers as well.

I thought about that for sure! I love the tones that I've heard, and have heard drive pedals in front of it, but I never saw any that involved it driving on its own.

Just joined the society and bought an old school white Slampegg Bee Pre X from @ImTheOnlyOne. I'm running it in front of my Alpha Omega 900 clean channel and it sounds just like an Ampeg now when I want that flavor! Pure wizardry!

It takes a ton of input to get it to drive on its own, it's super clean. I could get a tiny bit of breakup with my guitars but none at all on my passive p bass.

On the video at the bottom of the Sushi Box page for the Venus, the person reviewing it uses a prior boost pedal to overdrive it.

That's good to know, thank you! That's why I was considering a Finally with a 12AX7.

I actually sold my Venus for this reason; wish it had a gain knob. Some variety of 12AT7 / 5751 / 12AX7 in a Finally is much better for your needs IMHO.

Neptunium features a switchable high-pass filter, which rolls off the lows at a rate of -6dB per octave below 90Hz, to tame the ultra low rumbles to prevent muddiness in a mix (per the product description)
