he says same issue when the original tube is back. he got a new tube to try with but i'm not sure if something was damaged when he removed the tube or the tube itself?

Well, have a look back through this thread a couple of pages and it looks like he's made and sold around 50 last week and may planning to do about 200 or 237 in total - so there should be a few more soon very. Check the bottom of page 1175
Not yet, but I will. The first 50 are built and sold, parts for an additional 50 should be here in 1-2 weeks, and parts for the remaining 137 should be here in 2-3 weeks.
I definitely would not recommend using 12AX7 in Neptunium. Since it does not have a gain control, you're essentially getting ALL THE GAIN and have no way of dialing it back. Farty distortion is what I would expect. The circuit was designed (not by me, obviously) to use 12AU7. If putting the original 12AU7 back in doesn't bring it back to where it was, then it should probably come back to me for a look.

I'm keeping the Slampegg on all the time now actually. Adds some nice tube warmth and Ampeg EQ.

Ugh, got hit for an £83 customs fee on my Grand Slampegg coming into the UK. Pedal was already £354 after conversion fees so £437 total. Any future purchases would need to be very carefully considered.
Was hoping to get some direction from the thread if possible. Apologies if there are silly or redundant questions. I'm only just beginning on my analog journey after using a helix for a number of years.
i essentially get a blank slate to build my analog board and wanted to do so with some tube pedals
Initially I was looking at getting the 2 note revolt for myself, but i really don't need the 3rd modern drive unit, its just too massive of a pedal.
Am i right in saying that the finally v3 and neptunium both fulfil the same role in a pedalboard? (DI etc.)
I love the ability to EQ with the neptunium, however the sound of the grit on the finally is something i really want on my board.
I have a couple of ideas to somewhat model the Clean > Vintage dirt on the 2 note.
1. UA > Finally
2. UA > Neptunium
Am i on the right track? or should i be considering maybe the other distortion pedals in the lineup (JC emerald) etc.
Appreciate any input!

In a very similar position - I went for the Neptunium rather than the Finally. I would have gone with the Finally IF there had been some kind of foot-switch option to increase gain - so I could select dirt when and where needed. Also, the Neptunium has some EQ and it will replace a digital DI/preamp/EQ/drive box I have that sounds a bit too digital. So I'm going to have to find some analogue drive to put before it. I've gone with a JPTR FX (the regular version, not the bass one that seems to be forever delayed). It's a transistor drive, not valve, but it sounds good on the videos.
Just to add, neither the Neptunium or the Jive have arrived yet.
Ditto - ordered the Neptunium and paid extra for fast delivery. I forgot the import taxes and waiting for the bad news. I believe they tax the shipping costs too - so I should have gone for the cheaper option and saved a few pounds.
