I have an old power supply that I pulled out of a HP server that I might convert into a pedal board power supply.
Is 12V at 800 watts enough power to keep up with my tube pedals is the big question, I'm using 19 tubes in pedals so far and I will use 3 more in my wrecking ball soon.
I hope that anyone who tries 4 Greenhouses and a More has some good power supplies, and lots of cables to connect it all.

Visiting an older unit I just picked up. Tube swapped all day and settled on a long plate 12AT7 and it blossoms to a nice overdrive.
I definitely dig the push/pull of the led clipping setting.

Question for those that have the Elementary (or Dr. Wattson). Do those drive or get grindy at all? They seem to market a mostly clean sound, but not sure if they will overdrive with the gain cranked or pushed with another pedal.

With gain past noon you'll get mild overdrive on the Elementary

I find the breakup on the Elementary to be quite useful. Nathan explained it to me like this; when compared to the UA, the Elementary has less overall gain, but it also has lower headroom. To my ears, that sounds like the line between clean and dirty is “wider”, if that makes sense.

IME Elementary can easily get filthy with the gain pushed, even with an AT7 . It may be the same circuit as the "lower gain" channel of Dr. Watson, but that descriptor is relative. This is also true of the blue channel of the Dreamcatcher. It's lower gain than the red channel, but still easily driven into heavy OD. On this little board my Elementary serves solely as an overdrive to feed the envelope filter.......

It's been the 1st of April for 2 hours and 20 minutes where I am, it's only 10.20 AM on the 31st of March in Chicago.
Sometimes I really hate different time zones, especially when Sushi Pedals are 16 hours behind me and I am waiting on a new release.

There is a lot of hype, but I love the NP. I am intrigued by the Elementary and UA. I'm looking for feedback for a little breakup and drive to my envelope filter. I know a few of you have tried this configuration already. Any feedback would be great. Thanks.

The UA is my favorite for most any bass tone from cleanish through a full throated overdrive grunt, the gain has a wide range so dialing in the perfect amount of saturation is only a matter of patience and touch. The classic FNDR 3 band tone stack is very musical but it does not offer modern boost/cut control that many desire so it can be bypassed. Being able to bypass the tone stack adds to the possibilities of tones and drive and if I need a wider range of EQ then patching in an EQ pedal works fine for me. You can also roll in a lower gain tube if the 12ax7 is too crunchy. I might one day try an Elementary but when needing more crunch then I most often turn to a JC Emerald or some other pedal.

I too play mostly clean, and as a matter of fact, never gigged with a pedalboard in my first 45 years of playing. I just assembled one in the last couple of years, and added an Underground Accelerator to it a little over a year ago. I have found that it can replicate the natural overdrive I get when I run my Bassman 100 at “third set” volumes. I love that natural OD and compression from a full tube signal chain (both pre and power amp). The UA can get in the ballpark pretty nicely with the stock AX tube. It also adds clean fatness if you dial back the gain. It will get much dirtier than I run it at (11:00 on Gain) to get that Bassman 100 drive. Dial it back to 9:00-10:00 and I think you would be happy with warm, fat and snappy. I didn’t answer your specific question about the envelope filter, but the UA is probably a purchase you would not regret regardless.

I've been running the Elementary through the FX loop of the Subway channel on my TT800 to make it an extra-overdrive channel. It's a fun, usable level of wooliness, and a good juxtaposition to the Boogie channel.

I had planned to release it a few hours ago as it would have been midnight in the time zone I'll be vacationing in this summer, which I thought would be fun, but I didn't make it. I have a draft page on the website and took some nice pictures, just need to get them put together and hit publish.

That being said I've been a lot busier than usual at the old day job, so it still may be a couple more hours before I get it put up. You'll all obviously be the first ones to hear about it.
