You'd really need to to tell the differences, they're there though. I'd say the Finally to me has a little more of that tube compression and sparkle than the Neptunium. I've held on to the Neptunium fwiw and sent the Finally back.
This is exactly what baffles me about the Noble hype... it always seems like a lot of its enthusiasts want their DI to be tube-based, but to sound as linear and un-tube-like as possible.Do you not like the tube compression and sparkle? What made you choose the neptunium? I have (and like) a neptunium, but not a finally. I look forward to listening to those recordings with good headphones later.
Part of me wonders if the original magic of the Noble was actually just its HPF, and everyone mistook the clarity from the filter for the "magic" of the tube; and now that hype has gone so far down the rabbit hole most people don't even realize it anymore

P.S.: I honestly don't mean that to sound antagonistic, I just honestly don't "get" it. I played with a Noble back in like 2018 (I think?) and felt it was a very solid DI, but never understood the hype since it really doesn't do anything special... but the sparkle and compression from a Finally? That's special.
