Thanks, I'm just looking at both pedals to see which one might be the best fit. I'm leaning towards the More. Though that answer might also be "neither" as I don't have any board space.

What are you looking to gain from adding some sushi to your board? Post up your board and we can help out.

I'm interested in the More for the same reason everyone else is. Warming up a purely solid state signal chain. It's more (pun intended) about the whole system and less about the pedals. Also, and while I appreciate the offer to help, the whole rig sounds fabulous. Adding more (pun intended) pedals will only temporarily satiate the consumerist need. I asked about the Space Heater because there's some floating out there for less money than the More (pun intended).

Yeah, that's what I've been running lately and it sounds pretty great. My basic signal that I use for about half of our set is like this:
Buffer > DCX > Omnicomp > Empress Bass Para > Finally V2

I have the DCX in EQ mode to get it right at that edge of breakup, with a decent treble boost so it's a nice bright tone that can add that touch of grit in comparison to otherwise very warm clean tone without it. I also have several pedals between the DCX and the Comp/EQ so they're playing a lot of cleanup and final tone shaping to keep everything fairly cohesive for playing live.

For recording I could easily see building a stripped down mini board with just a tuner, DCX, and a Finally.

It was more (sorry!) about what would complement your current rig. As i said, I have both, if I could only have one with my rig it would be the SH it does more (again sorry) to the tone than the More does.

If More is the icing on the Cake, the SH is the Sponge cake itself.

Without knowing what else is on your board it's hard to say for sure but........

If I saw Space Heaters 2nd hand I would grab one instantly (the rarely come up in the UK).

If you need a DI and HPF then the finally would be the way to go.

This is basically why the Finally is always on my board.

For what it's worth I did some experimenting on my board yesterday with the MORE + Pedalnetics DIm stick and I guess my signal is pretty hot by the time it gets to the end, as I found myself pushing it to breakup pretty often. Unfortunately it's not a particularly pleasant texture. I could use my compressor output to attenuate the signal before the MORE to see if that prevents it from clipping.

I'm also wanting to try it again with the full rig as I was just going into my audio interface & headphones which is hardly representative of what the board sounds like.

I'll take the DI from my amp or use a Para Driver. But I rarely go direct. The More is probably what I'm looking for. I like the cake vs icing metaphor.

A used Space Heater was my first Sushi, and you never forget your first, LOL. My spouse started calling my new bass sound "The Deep Sexy" and I'll call that a win. Sadly, that pedal conked out in a way even The Sushi Chef himself couldn't fix, but I've been chasing that tone ever since, with a Finally and a UA.

My First was an SBVT which I've since sold on, but i jumped for the Space Heater when Nathan announced he was discontinuing them , i wish I'd bought two!!

It's such a versatile pedal, I'd happily gig with just that going into to power amp, it's great at warming up solid state amps and preamp and it's fantastic at pushing your valve amps from mildly saturated to all out armageddon. If i could only keep one of my current pedals it would be the Space Heater, instant tone!

Since Ivan's review of the Finally v3 was posted here, it makes sense to post his comparison of Finally V3 to the Noble.

I'm not sure I hear what he hears - the Noble sounds louder and bassier to me and that always skews impressions - but you be the judge.

I'll say Finally sounds great, the variable HPF is very useful, it's way smaller and cheaper, and different tubes can be installed for grit and overdrive.

So many people want the Space Heater to come back, if you build a C2CE Particle Accelerator and bypass the tone stack with a 100nF capacitor you basically have a Space Heater.

Mmkay, omit C5, C7, C8, R10, Treble pot, Mids pot, and Bass pot, then put a 100nF 630V cap between these two pins outlined in green, and your Particle Accelerator is basically a Space Heater.

Going by this I would assume that the Particle Accelerator is basically a Space Heater with a tone stack added, so try a Particle Accelerator and set the tone stack flat. Set the Bass and Treble on 0 and the Mid on 10 for a flat tone stack setting.
I am making a wild guess that there is not too much difference between the Sushi Box FX PA and the C2CE PA, if there is then please ignore my little rant.

Correct, except that Particle Accelerator came first, so Space Heater was actually Particle Accelerator with the tonestack removed.

Mine was also a used Candy Apple Red Laser Etched Particle Accelerator mini tube that still is on my recording board. Those early @Sushi Box FX versions still sound great, also have a Slampegg Bee in Stealth Black and Finally v1.

Similar to Bassed podcasts aka @carsonchilders comparison of the Noble and Neptunium…the Noble has some compression going on which gives it a slightly more full sound but…you can’t push it like the finally. Both great products but only one is affordable to me.

So with the Noble I always wish I have a pedal with some drive in addition.... I would imagine with the Finally I'd want an EQ with it.
