Very nice review of the pedal, lets not forget that the adjustable HPF will make the pedal more versatile for other instruments like double bass and anything else you might like to try the pedal with.
When you order a new pedal you can usually ask for a higher input impedance if you want to use it with a double bass, at least I think that's what Nathan will do.
Now...... who can tell us how it works with a double bass or something else, anyone know of anyone who uses it for something else out there ???

I use a Finally v3 last in chain with upright. The DI always sounds great. Right now I have an Empress ParaEQ Bass first for the 10MOhm input and EQ.

I'd still like to get my hands on a Finally v3 for the HPF. I'm currently running an UA with the EQ off first in chain in the same way I would utilize the Finally. But I've also capped my DC7 out, and haven't added a HPF still.

Is the DC7 tapped out, or is it simply that the outputs are all in use? If the latter , you can get a splitter cable for one of the outputs and run >1 less power hungry pedals off it. An HPF requires little juice and is inexpensive.

Hey! I've been a proud owner of a Sushi Box Neptunium preamp, and I absolutely love it! This may seem like a dumb question, but I'm assuming the high pass selector switch, the straight line is normal and the elevated line is the frequency cut?

Yep, on a Neptunium or a Nobelium the HPF switch to the left is no HPF, full frequency pass through.
HPF switch to the right and you have activated the HPF, the low frequencies get filtered out, use it if speakers fart or room is boomy etc.
I also believe that the HPF can leave better room for the drums to come through, bass and drums can fight for the sound and sound crap.
If you are running subs just to rattle the doors and loosen fillings in teeth then don't use the HPF.

Correct. A fixed cut at 90Hz

I finally took my Demeter hbp-1 out of my live rig and mounted it in my studio desk. The rig is much quieter with the board going straight into my power amp but I definitely miss the tube. I'm hoping this dude will bring the mojo back to the stage and live recordings.

The HPF in Finally is essential to me when I practice with headphones. My Rumble outputs ...Rumble so the HPF set at 30hz gets rid of that in my ears. Lifesaver!

Thanks y’all I literally figured it out like 30 mins after posting this — using a combination of a flat tweezer and mini screwdriver that came with my soldering kit. Have swapped in quite a few since haha

Well I popped it open and:

a Sushi box labeled tube!? What is happening here? I guess that's staying in there unless it dies someday! Are there any more of these out there?

If I remember correctly there are literally two and both are EF86. It was one of those "I wonder if this would work" things I did with my UV printer back in the day.

If by "function like the More" you mean add some tubeyness then yes, but it's a stretch. The SH gives you a lot more "baked in" tone, it's a preamp just without an EQ. The More does something different, it adds to what is already there and sweetens it up.

I use both, SH front out the chain and More at the back. I wouldn't use one instead of the other.

No idea about the DOD 250 though!!!!!

@GR7G5TER nailed it, Space Heater and More can never be an apples-to-apples comparison, but if you're just looking for clean tube tone, then Space Heater with the gain set low can achieve that in a similar way to how More does.

@HelpImaRock also consinder rolling in a lower gain tube into the Space Heater. If you've got the stock 12AX7 it has tons on gain and volume on tap, many have swapped in a 12AU7 in the SH, finally and UA with great success, however expeiment with the 12A*7 family to find your sweetspot.
