I have an incredible idea that i would love to share and throw out for Nathan to ponder for future revisions of the Finally. What if there was a footswitchable boost? Then it really would be the perfect DI out for my quad cortex

Are you thinking gain boost, or volume boost?
Finally currently doesn't have a footswitch because there's no room for a footswitch in the enclosure, but I've been weighing ideas of changing things up in there if (and that's a BIG if) Finally v4 ever happens. I will say though that Phil Mann would probably fight to have a mute footswitch if I were to mention that a footswitch is on the table.
Thinking about getting one of these. Question: how do you think this pedal stacks up against a Singular Audio Tubedrve??
Also... Which Sushi box do you think is best to get poingent deep dirty Sabbathy tube drive?
I'd lean more towards a volume boost personally, but would be happy with a gain boost as well! If you have to fight for the mute vs boost option, maybe there could be a dipswitch that could change the functionality of the footswitch between a boost mode and a mute mode. But I think there's a higher chance that people who run the Finally already have a tuner/mute on their board! Just my two cents here
A mute foot swich ? A MUTE foot switch ? ***.......... all those years of bleeding fingertips, practice, perfecting, and now that he can make all that beautiful noise he wants to go and put a MUTE foot switch in there ??????????

One of the things that's fun about Sushi Box pedals is the range of expressions you can get by trying different tubes in them. I've got a Finally v1 with 5751 in it that gives me a wonderful saturation and light overdrive. I also love using the Elementary for a different voicing with great mids.

Either the Underground Accelerator or JC Emerald. I have not tried the Elementary and I'm more than sure someone will nominate it.
Underground Accelerator is a great preamp to overdrive choice for bass or guitar.
The JC Emerald has extra tonal options and to my ear has a different mid range presence that helps to define and cut better plus there is something sonically nice having the additional tube stages. While it is JC800 the brite and deep mimic character of the Bass/Major of Lemmy and even the JTM45. It works well for crunch, saturated and is also a nice alternative "clean" voice.
OK I'll be the one to suggest Elementary as well. I use both Elementary and UA in different contexts, depending on the bass & music. Both can be run clean through a bit of grind or right into heavy buzz saw OD. I prefer the Elementary when I want a brighter sound with more upper mid emphasis above 1K Hz (esp when I'm playing a bass with flats) and the UA when I want to live more in the bass & low mids. They overlap a lot and both will satisfy.

Running a Finally v3 into a Rolls pm50se should I use the xlr balanced output into the Rolls xlr input at line level or the 1/4" output into a passive di into the Rolls at line level. Just curious and I don't want to damage anything. Is there an internal dipswitch in the Finally for adjusting the output level of the xlr output besides the volume control on the side of the pedal? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

I would recommend using the XLR output of the Finally v3 into the Rolls, as that is essentially a tube preamp into a passive D.I. There are no internal volume controls on Finally v2, but the knob on the side of the pedal goes all the way from 0 to 10, so if you're worried about overdriving the input start with it all the way off and bring it up slowly until it's at the level you want.
I will also add that while Finally v3 is capable of a reasonably "hot" output and it is capable of overdriving the inputs to some devices, it is not capable of outputting enough current to actually cause electrical damage to anything, so that shouldn't be a concern.
