I've had PMLE on my personal board since last year, and I'm considering swapping it for a Mayday. Either that or setting up another board so I can choose which one I want depending on which bass I'm using (more likely).
I’ve just seen that Seamoon FX just released a pedal for bass called “More”.
Similar aesthetics but slightly different functionality.

If by aesthetics you mean one large knob and one toggle switch yes, but not much else in common aesthetically
I've had a lot of people sending me their post looking for my reaction. I don't have a trademark on the word "More" (I doubt anyone could) and I think the pedals are dissimilar enough that nobody is likely to confuse them. Not to mention the fact that Union Tube and Transistor released a one-knob pedal called More before I did. I had a brief chat conversation with Seamoon FX, they seem cool.
Considering what’s going on with Fender right now, 2026 is gonna go down as the “cease and desist” year.
I guess Yamaha is jumping on the bandwagon as well.

Big multimillion dollar Corporations, picking on smaller innovative builders, that can’t defend themselves against million dollar law firms…even in VERY grey area matters.

Yeah, I was thinking something along the lines of;Nathan- I just stopped by the SBFX website and saw that the [redacted b] is on sale. If you were going to continue building those, I would have suggested changing the name to Grand Bee or The Big Bee, something along those lines. The [redacted __] names may have been just temporary until you sold your remaining stock. They are a teeny bit unwieldy compared to the original names..Thanks a lot, Yamaha.

Honestly I'm still at the point where I'm a little flattered that Ampeg/Yamaha Guitar Corp knows that Sushi Box exists, I think that's neat.
I'm also still planning to take this opportunity to redesign both of them once I've sold off my stock. It was an inconvenience for sure, but I've got some lemons and I've got some neat ideas for lemonade recipes I want to try out to see what I can come up with that's along the same flavor but a little more original.

Careful there, lemon will cook the raw sushi and change the flavor and texture.
We all love our Sushi the way it is I think.
I love the raw unspoiled original Sushi just fine.
A nice clean flavor with a nice bite to it.
ps. a bit of wasabi to spice it up is also great.

It was cool to see Brendan in that setting I was a huge Home Movies fan back in the day.
Third time around with the Mayday- same simple board- Smith fretless, Arkham UltraLinear flat into a Berg II15 Ref. Im going to switch the two pedals in order, but im in no hurry. I really like the Mayday. It’s clean as i want it, responsive and it took this simple Edison/Broughton Studio Boost Mini really well.
I dicked around for 15 minutes, played with the Lo Mid and Hi Mid on the Mayday, there’s a floating happy place. Kept it simple, R&B . Im going to build a board around this. Presently, theres a low mid bloom that i can tame, but thats well within what I’ve got going on here. I may add a Doc Lloyd DLA-2A into the effects loop of the Arkham for shiggles, but im really pleased with the Mayday. Enough so that i picked up a Sunnday Drive here for a song.
