Yes, I will be definitely be checking in when my watts arrives, I was going to get into it with my PA but it was so clean I didn't bother, but this essentially does a similar function to what your new pedal does?

I welcomed Particle Accelerator to the ol pedalboard today. Placed it first to help warm up the digital wireless signal. It could have been placed last, can definitely power a power amp.
Yes, Westinghouse essentially has the trimpot moved to an external knob to safely control the voltage without opening it. I added a resistor to adjust the sweep so it won't go higher than the capacitors can handle so you won't damage the Westinghouse by adjusting the Volt knob. I did this externally on this one for two reasons:
1) the original Edison sounds very good at 30V so I wanted people to have the option to get that EXACT sound, but also wanted them to be able to dial in what I consider "proper" tube voltage without having to open up the pedal and stick their hands in a dangerous circuit. This is the main reason.
2) I use board-mounted pots to anchor the circuit board so it's not floating around in the box and I don't need any additional mounting hardware, and two pots are much better than one for securely anchoring. This was a less important reason, but still a factor.
Yup, that will work. I was hoping to use CineMag transformers but their lack of communication caused me to cancel my order and contact Jensen, so I will be using the same DI transformer found in the Radial JDI.

I guess. Based on my own understanding, the so-called “tube saturation” sound is more a product of the sag from a tube rectifier, and a power amp stage driving a (usually underspecced) output transformer rather than the mere presence of a 12AX7 type tube in the preamp stage. Although phase inversion from a tube preamp stage also plays a part in some classic amps.
But whatever. If I can get very close to the B-15 sound using the Linden, Slampegg, of Alex-1 when compared side by side against my vintage Ampeg B-15N then to me it’s moot what you call it or market it as. Especially since they don’t output line level and therefore can’t directly drive a power amp. Something that arguably disqualifies them from being called genuine preamps. “B-15 emulators” might be a a better designation if you really want to split hairs over it since all three products incorporate additional circuitry beyond a Baxandall EQ stage to get something remarkably close to an Ampeg fliptop vibe.
But maybe that’s just me.
I mean so far the only ones I haven't done are Sunnday Drive and Black Eye, and there's no reason I can't do those, so I think they will happen eventually. The X series is getting enough attention (more than half of January is X series) that I'm toying with the idea of not doing any more new 6N21B designs and working on making X series cheaper and easier (9V power supply compatible will happen soon).

so it's going to happen for sure, but I expect it to take at least a couple prototypes, so don't go reserving slots for it or anything. I'll see if I can throw together an initial design to send out at the end of the month with my February circuit board order so I can at least start the prototype process.
