I think they're different enough that it wouldn't be superfluous. They're both preamps with a good amount of output level on tap and they're both excellent, but the flavors are totally different.

That's a good point, I guess it comes down to whether it's going to be used as a traditional drive pedal or whether it's going to be used as an always-on preamp.

Can’t speak for everyone here. But when my SO, the two other musicians we regularly hang with, or myself use a preamp pedal, we use it as a preamp and not an effect. So it’s an always on device for us. The preamp I commissioned from Broughton was built with a mute toggle and no footswitch at my request.

Quick note on Westinghouse: Current draw is 500mA during warm-up, settles down to about 215mA after warm-up. Warm up time was about 10 seconds.

Also I put some quick info together for Westinghouse and Space Heater (I think that's the name) on the website, so there's some info there now.

Really digging the steampunk-ish look of the raw enclosure for the Westinghouse/Space Heater. Looking forward to seeing what you're going to do differently with graphics!

EDIT: liking the power requirements for the these two pedals as well.

They definitely have that industrial look in the pictures, it helps that they soak up all my grubby fingerprints I have a couple new artwork things I'm trying out on a handful of pedals, I'm hoping to have pics in the next couple days.

Hopefully I can resist the space heater, but now I wish I didn't already have an Edison... my only gripe with it (as a 'little bit of tubey hair' pedal) is not having a knob to adjust the volume on my preferred tone - having the ability to change the plate voltage is soooo tempting.

Man, so many cool options.... Really excited for some sound clips of the Westinghouse and SpaceHeater. Would like to hear one of the preamps running INTO the Westinghouse to hear what happens...

Man, I have a johnk min-tube LU coming this month. But with my next slot.... I am so conflicted! Must obtain more slots...

My son (he plays this weird instrument which looks like a bass but much smaller and with six thinner strings) really likes what it does to his tone

Did you have more playing time with the LU? How about the Dr Wattson - did you buy it in the end?

Haven’t had a chance to play with the LU since my initial run through, unfortunately. Life and bathroom renos keep getting in the way.

Wattson is being built this month, I believe.

I have suggestion for a new product. A sequenced power supply that would allow your more power hungry pedals to warm up one at a time.
