I had FOUR Soldano's back in the day. Hot Rod 50, then a 50+, then a Decatone and Astroverb. I miss those days of being a kid with disposable income :)

But anyway I would love a Black Eye (pedal, that is) but the current requirements make it not really work for me. These are pretty stellar for for the price. Not exactly a Soldano and probably not a Black Eye but they sound killer:

I'm not personally familiar with the Mesa 400+ or D180, but I'd vote for whatever makes the most sense in terms of adding value to your portfolio. With the PA and LU already being so similar, I don't think there's any sense adding another minor variation on the Fender tone stack just for the sake of doing a Mesa bass pre, IMO. But if it's different enough to offer a unique sound, then go for it! Also, it's all you so do whatever you want! lol. Just offering my opinion.

That being said, there seems to be a Marshall shaped hole in the list of pedals you offer. I think we've talked about this before and maybe you'd started working on something but were having issues with it? I know early Marshalls were variations on the Fender circuit, but something like a Marshall Super Bass, with the intention of capturing more of a grindy tone, would be pretty cool. Also something along the lines of a JMP/Plexi/JCM800 would probably garner some attention from the guitar players out there.

So due to the sheer volume of designed-for-bass offerings I've actually started working on some more guitar-oriented stuff, I just got a circuit board shipment last week of Black Eye X (Soldano), Matchless Chieftain, Vox AC-30, Marshall JCM800, and my revised tube tremolo. I'm not done working on bass stuff forever, but my offerings right now are very bass-heavy, and I'm still trying to get my guitar rig back together so I needed some stuff for me too :P

Obviously everyone has their own individual tastes, but the Black Eye is my favorite dirt pedal ever for guitar. It's admittedly a bit heavy for use for typical bass use, it's almost impossible to coax clean tones out of it, but it is excellent on guitar. So that said I have THE FIRST BLACK EYE ORDER in the March batch, and I'm super excited to get it out there. I'm also excited to get the Black Eye X prototype going, as that's what will be going on my board.

Nice! Black Eye X will be the double-tube sized box?

Very interested in some of those guitar offerings. I always thought Matchless were already based on Vox circuit. I assume there's not too much overlap there for you to be offering both.

You're correct, the Matchless DC-30 was originally just a modified AC-30, but the Chieftain is considerably different.

The Black Eye X will be in the double tube sized box for now, but since it only has three knobs I'm working on seeing if I can fit it in the standard size box with both tubes, but that probably won't happen until next month.

I don't take pictures of every single pedal anymore, but here are a few of my favorites this month:

I don't know why but something about the silver over blue just seems classy, I really dig it.

Purple and gold were my high school's colors, so I thought it was neat that I've had a few requests for this combo.

Statistically the one pedal I've made more than anything else is a matte black Slampegg with silver knobs. Also I ran out of my previous matte black powder so I bought a little more expensive one this month and I LOVE how it comes out. Hard to capture in pics, but really smooth.

Not sure why Rainbow's End with pink knobs has become a thing, but there have been a handful of orders for this combo and I dig it.

Realistically I should be checking over my work, it's just that I have to keep track of order changes via email, website, and TB and get them updated on my list. I don't usually miss things, and these are among the more okay things to miss, I have yet to send someone the wrong pedal. But anyway, too many pedals lying around my house is not an uncommon problem.

Building an extra Deep Dish would be a considerable mistake, that's a non-trivial circuit to put together, but good to know that you'd forgive me for accidentally giving you one.
