Thanks. It was really more of a curiosity for me than anything else. I like to put my stuff through it’s paces to figure out where and how to best make use of it. I certainly don’t need it to work at line level, just wondering how/if it would.

Crap.
I need to buy a DC-7. I was HOPING that I would be happy to just have one or the other (my current setup only has one 500mA slot- everything else is 100mA). But now I really want to know what this sounds like.
AND AND AND AND, my cigar box guitar really want to know how it would sound with some real tube flavor going into my Addrock Ol Yeller (IMO the best tube screamer clone ever- I even got a great sound out with a bass by using an effects blend loooper pedal).

I have a JC Em on a June slot but there’s no right number of guitar magic boxes.
I don't have a Sushi Box yet, I'm on the May list for a Sunday Driver and can't wait.But I do own many preamp pedals and I run straight to the amp input and sometimes through the preamp in section if an amp offers the option.
I can get some samples recorded for Wrcking Ball X, but I'll probably wait until I get the new boards to actuall put it in a box and get pictures of it. It works and sounds exactly the way I want it to right now but has extra things that are useless, and I want to pull them off and reorganize the knob layout. But I can tell you since it has 3 12AX7 it will be BIG, it's going in a Hammond 1590X, which is the enclosure the dual PAX is in that I posted earlier.
JC Emerald I'm also planning to get recordings for soon, and I have that one boxed up, I just haven't thrown knobs on it yet, so no pictures yet. I'll get product pages up for both of them soon so people have some details to look at/listen to rather than just taking my word for it.
I have mixed feelings there now. I love new shiny things, which is why I keep making new designs, and I love releasing things as quickly as possible so people can start playing them. BUT we all saw what happened with Westinghouse when I rushed it out the door, and I want to make sure that doesn't happen again.
As I said Wrecking Ball X works perfectly right now, the board layout just needs some cleaning up. I 100% expect it to work, but it has not gone through thorough testing, and even though the new layout shouldn't affect anything, you can never really guarantee that, so I'm still hesitant.
But on the other hand, I also hate saying no to people (you may have noticed). So I'll tell you what, if you're okay with waiting up to an extra week so I can fully vet the design before shipping, I'll let you upgrade to a Wrecking Ball X for May.

I'm looking forward to hearing those demos of the wrecking ball and Jc Emerald. I need to hear them with my guitarist so we can see wich ones my guitarist prefer for their main tone. I'm personally leaning towards the Jc Emerald by default as I'm a huge Marshall fan girl but my band have used Mesa triple rectifiers and 5150's in the past too so I don't know what they will wind up digging more. We very well could be getting a few of each down the road we will have to just wait and see.
I’m also looking forward to clips and some reviews of the JCEm. Is there a product page on the website for this yet? I mean, we all know what it is, but I still want to stare at it and daydream.
Not yet. I'll see if I can throw some knobs on my build today and get some pictures taken so I can get a page together with some info.
So speaking of knobs, I just got my knob order in from the manufacturer in China, and it's the wrong size. I have 1000 knobs that are too big for my pedals (they would probably fit, but they would cover up control labels). time to find out how good Alibaba's buyer protection is.
What's the problem? Simply take all the pedals apart, sand off the artwork, re-design the artwork so it fits around the new knobs, reprint the enclosures, put the pedals back together with the new knobs. Easy peasy.
Or just design a whole new pedal and call it 'Big Knob' and use those knobs for it exclusively.

Yup, it's a big box
It's 500 each of black and silver, and since I use about 200 knobs a month I was expecting this to be my ~5 month supply of knobs. I'll get it figured out though
I've been hoping I could figure this out and not have to ask, but I am having an issue with my Dr. Wattson (non-X). At seemingly random times, there is a noise issue. It sounds like a distant wind storm. It is there about 30% of the time. There is no sound when the box is knocked or turned on and off. It doesn't seem to be a microphonic tube. It just shows up. I have tried it with 9v and 12 volt. I've changed power cables and even power supplies. It will just suddenly start. Sometimes I just have to touch the power cable and it stops for awhile. that's why I thought I had a bad cable. I've tried multiple cables, and ones that are working perfectly on other pedals. I jiggle and pull them and they don't make a sound. When the pedal is switched off, the sound is gone. I considered opening the box and checking solder on the power connector, but when it's on the pedal is fullly functional without dropouts. It just starts a distant white noisy windstorm sound. I usde the term windstorm because the pitch of the noise moves randomly. Any suggestions?
That's a bizarre one, I'm trying to think what that could possibly be. You have two SMPS in there but they're both fixed frequency, if it were from the regulators I wouldn't expect it to change pitch and would also expect it to be something that happens all the time, not coming and going.
Is there anything that seems to trigger it more often? Does it happen right away when you plug it in, or come later after the pedal has been on for a while? Does it ever go away by itself?
