Takeaways:

• Phat Bottom end, the thick bottom I was looking for while combined with the other pedals on my board and my TH 500.
• Can pull up a treble friendly setting (or not) with sparkle at the top end.
• No need to push the Master volume up overloading the tube(s), plenty of headroom.
• Looks great!
• Between the PAX and the other EQ's on my `board I have (as counted so far) 9 EQ profiles/setting I can pull up simply by applying footswitch scenes. Yeah I know the digital EQ's do that too but that's a different discussion ~ one I don`t endorse.

Quick April batch update: if you have a build with a single tube that isn't a Westinghouse, your pedal is finished and will go through final testing and shipping tomorrow. If you have a build with two tubes or zero tubes, your pedal will go through final assembly tomorrow before final testing and shipping.

So basically if you didn't order a Westinghouse you will get a shipping notification Sunday and your pedal will get dropped off at the post office Monday. If you did order a Westinghouse, you will probably get a shipping notice Tuesday and your pedal will get dropped off at the post office Wednesday.

And of course if you ordered a custom dual PAX to go with your custom Alembic bass, you already picked up your build in person and are hopefully enjoying it in your sweet rig

So my knob supplier still doesn't have the colored knobs in stock, but I pulled some blue knobs off of one of my person pedals because I had to make this happen. Absolutely love how this came out.

Everything that's ready to go has been tested and boxed up, I'm going to wait until I get all the other non-WH builds done tonight and get shipping notices out for everything all at once. Speeds up the process a little if I do them all at once.

Yes, Westinghouse for April, May and June will have knob/switch. During my break I'm planning to redesign a lot of my lineup, and Westinghouse will go to being fixed at high voltage and have a single knob. This is mostly because the switch will pop every single time you switch it, no matter what, and I don't love that. Obviously the switch will more or less be set-and-forget, you either prefer the low voltage or you prefer the high voltage, I don't anticipate a lot of people going back and forth regularly, but I still don't want things that pop.

Would you still get the pop if you went to a dual footswitch arrangement?

Like a footswitch instead of the toggle switch? Absolutely still pop, no difference. The only way to make it not pop would be to use microcontroller-based soft switching with a slight delay so it basically mutes during the time a pop would occur. I decided I don't think the low voltage mode sounds good enough to warrant the extra effort and expense of doing complex switching, so I decided to keep it all high voltage all the time and eliminate the option. Otherwise I'd be keeping around an option that I consider completely inferior just for the sake of having another option.

Depends, there was a month assigned to your order, you can either check your confirmation email for what batch you are in or let me know your order number and I'll look it up.

I try to get everything done by the end of the month, but I give myself until the 10th of the following month just in case. So if you ordered in the May batch, June 10th would be the absolute latest your pedal would ship.

Alright, if you didn't order a Westinghouse and you didn't receive a shipping notification yet, either you changed your address and I need to verify it before shipping (1 person) or your pedal didn't pass the play test and needs debugging (2 people), either way should all be sorted tomorrow. Yeah, I thought it was well done. Lots of perspectives and areas to focus on and they balanced it all well without lingering too long on any.

I forgot to mention there was another experiment on this build. I like the look of having the LEDs under tubes, I understand that plenty of people don't. But after doing it literally 200+ times now I'm realizing it's extra work for me that's a little tricky to do, and if an LED fails I have to completely disassemble the board the tube is mounted on, which usually destroys the board and I have to build up a new one. So when this guy mentioned that he's violently opposed to tubes under LEDs, I asked if I could try this out. I'm not sure if this is something I'll keep doing, but I am looking at moving the LED out from under the tubes on all builds permanently. (@scubaduba gets to say "finally!")

I'm guessing there will be people on both sides of the fence.
Not having the slots lit up is kind of boring (the submini tubes glowed a lot more).
I'm a whore for LED footswitches though, so I'd probably take that and then mod it for an internal LED too. Internel LED for glowing slots as a Power light, footswitch LED as the engaged light.
My only comment on the footswitch is it covering the wording makes it look like an afterthought and out of place (which I fully understand, it probably was in regards to printing spacing).
If you stuck with it, I'd redo logos so none of it is covered by the switch rings, but thats just my un-asked-for opinion

You nailed it, it was put on as an afterthought, I didn't redesign the artwork with the LED ring in mind, I just threw it over the existing artwork which takes advantage of my typically using a clear washer. If I were to switch over to these (which I don't expect to) I would definitely redesign the artwork to accommodate them.

And I am expecting people on both sides of the fence. Frankly I prefer the look of the LEDs under the tube. Part of me is still trying to hang onto the LEDs there and find a better way to do it for both manufacturability and serviceability, but I'll have to think on it.

The LEDs under tubes is a little bit ridicoulous in my opinion.
But I would prefer the classic tiny red indicator you find in vintage pedals, it's even more discreete.
