Super excited for my SBVT! First Sushi Box pedal for me.
I'm in with an Underground Accelerator and a Lab Rat X with a special request for a blend or dry signal control if not too difficult.
In my touring rack, yes I'm that old, I had a modified Proco R2DU Dual Rat that was my dirt. After messing with some Rat tomes on my Aftershock I'd forgotten how much I missed that texture.

So if you took a Particle Accelerator and added bypass switch for the tone stack, would you have a Space Accelerator or a Particle Heater? These are the things I think about when I'm home alone and the power goes out.
I was just reading that message. I don't normally do that as it would more or less have to be built onto the board, adding it afterwards could be a little messy. I try to give everything a nice low response so you don't miss the low end that you're usually trying to mix back with the blend, but I understand why you would still want it for some situations. Which pedal were you interested in having that on?

You would have 99% of a Space Heater. There's a resistor divider that LUX has between tube stages before the gain control that I added into Space Heater, but that's the only thing that would be missing if you bypassed the tone stack on a PAX.
The Lab Rat X, I certainly understand if it is not possible or not something you want to try especially as this is your last run on the pedal. I can always use a blend or mix pedal if needed.
It's something I want to be able to say I can do
I'm mulling over ideas in my head of how I can make it work without risking messing anything up. Lab Rat X is a fairly full circuit board, I'd have to find a place for the blend circuit to live then jump wires into where it needs to be. So there are very few things that are impossible, but I'm going to need to give it some more thought.
Nice, just ordered a SBVT, real curious about how it compares with the SV-Pre and the Super 300 !
As side-note, does it require a current-doubler using a Cioks DC7 ? DC7 current is 660mA (9V), a tad below what it takes during warm-up it seems.
That should still be fine, it may just take an extra few seconds warming up before it settles back down.
I'm very interested to hear your thoughts about the SBVT vs. Super 300!
I thought long and hard about getting the SBVT, but I'm really excited to combine the Super 300 with the Space Heater. As well as the... other thing I've got coming from Master FX.

So,
I messed around with pedal order WRT the SH.
Initially bought it to run first in line as a sort of dirty boost.
When I got it, I put it last in line to give to tubey goodness.
I tried it first, and well, meh.
Totally works best last in line, giving everything before it that "flavour"

@Johno Dunn i'd def like running it at 12V but it's 'worse', same 800mA warm-up needs, the DC7 being able to provide 500mA.

Space Heater here. It will replace the SFT on this board.
