Almost forgot to post this. I have yet to get a picture that accurately shows the color of these, but this gives you an idea.
Ahhh I see the main SushiBox issue right here in the lovely batch pic . The layout board is numbered from the bottom left corner upwards . Nobody does this ! It's supposed to start at the top left hand corner and from there can go either directly sideways or directly downwards . Starting at the bottom is a form of dyslexia or heresy and simply not done in civilized circles !!!! I guess we can attempt to let it slide for now but it'll be hard to forget for sure ... Kelly
When I first labeled the shelf like that it was done as a matter of convenience, I would expect slot #1 to be the closest to me, and increasing numbers would get farther away. Obviously reading starts top left and moves sideways and down, but you're not grabbing words off a page to install tubes or knobs on them. It may look weird, but it's been like that almost a year now, and I'm used to it
Welcomeas was mentioned the changes are to get rid of things that had problems or weren't popular, and also to consolidate two very similar pedals into one pedal with the best of both. I try to add a lot more than I take away, but I do need to keep things manageable from a production standpoint as I am a one-man show doing this in my basement as a hobby and need to control how much time I spend on it.
All that being said I'm glad you found out about me, and I hope you get a chance to try a pedal or three

Your numbering makes more sense to me than the 'from right to left' paradigm of pedal order, which still feels weird 18 months in...
Hopefully The Space Heater sticks around.. that's one I'm interested in..

Another +1 for the MBD-2! I got one recently and I really like it. For thread relevance, it sounds great running into my Sushi LUPAX.I've got an MDB-2 on the way. It's pretty much the last od/dist pedal I wanted to try before cutting myself off of buying od/dist pedals. With the pedals I have, I feel I've reached the pinnacle

I showed it to a buddy of mine, and he ended up ordering one.
I don't have any plans to get rid of Space Heater, it's an original design that hasn't had any problems reported aside from being absurdly loud, and people like it. When it gets a redesign it will have an optional attenuator on the output to tame the level a bit, but that's the only thing I'm really planning on doing to it.
Small group of us got a bit of a love affair going on with SH. Simple but potent, I imagine Nate will keep producing it.

An excellent question. It uses a Fender-style tonestack but with different component values than PAX, LUX, or SDX (closest to SDX though if I remember right). I'll plug it into the old calculator and see what it comes up with.
ha! I didn't realize it wasn't a Bax. If the values are different, does that mean approximate 'flat' is different then the standard Fender 2-10-2 or whatever?
Flat should still be right around there, because that's basically where the filters are "bypassed," but the response obviously changes when you start turning knobs. Based on the Duncan Tone Stack Calculator it looks like 0-10-0 is flat. With all the knobs right in the middle there's a pronounced scoop around 450Hz, but with treble and bass cranked the mids knob adjusts around 290Hz. So it's not completely fixed, the three controls are a bit interactive.
