Now there's a good question, I've never done an A/B on them like that. I would say the Vampire Slayer is more subtle, its focus is more on buffering than coloration, the mild coloration is just an added bonus. Space Heater does not have a buffer, just a couple gain stages, so coloration is the main goal of the pedal. Even with the gain down and running it at unity level your tone will sound warmer and fatter. How about the tone of Vampire Slayer vs clean Space Heater at unity?
So the good news is the Sashimi, Ambassador, and Echosaurus Valve circuit boards just shipped, so they will be here next week.
The bad news is my enclosures, footswitches, and knobs got delayed again. The original estimated delivery date was today, but they still haven't left China. It looks like August batch ship date will slip into early September.

Ambassador? What's that? I am pretty sure I am not new here but I may have missed it ...So the good news is the Sashimi, Ambassador, and Echosaurus Valve circuit boards just shipped, so they will be here next week.

Was it you that offered to let me take a look at your Meatsmoke? My brain has trouble keeping things organized![]()
Same dude, same

Matchless Hotbox. Particle Accelerator, Ambassador, and Black Eye were the first batch of tube pedals I ever made with the mini tubes. I love Matchless, and I liked the Ambassador, but I wanted to like it more. I think with the 12AX7 I will.Ambassador? What's that? I am pretty sure I am not new here but I may have missed it ...
Excellent, thanks man. I'll let you know for sureThat was me. Let me know when you'd like it, and I can send it to you. I'm in no hurry to get it back as I'm using a bunch of SB pedals in its place right now.
I didn't see anything on the Ambassador on the archive in the site. What is it? Is it gonna give me GAS?Same dude, same

I mean I just told youI didn't see anything on the Ambassador on the archive in the site. What is it? Is it gonna give me GAS?![]()
In my defense it's Friday and it's been an ultra long week at work and my brain is fried and my reading comprehension isn't comprehending and that also means that I tend to write run-on sentences and I'm kind of sad that the Ambassador doesn't give me GASI mean I just told youIt's the dirt channel of the Matchless Hotbox. Probably not super exciting for bassists, but as a guitarist I love Matchless' stuff. The original Ambassador was so old it was never even mentioned on the website as I had stopped building it by the time the website started.
Lol, I hear you man. I have 2 1/2 hours of work left for the week, and I have a FedEx package waiting for me with a fun new reverse engineering project. I've all but checked out mentally. Ready for the weekennnndddddddd...In my defense it's Friday and it's been an ultra long week at work and my brain is fried and my reading comprehension isn't comprehending and that also means that I tend to write run-on sentences and I'm kind of sad that the Ambassador doesn't give me GAS

I don't think I have yet. It's not really a secret, just another one more interesting for guitarists than bassists. It's a Dr. Z Z-Verb. My amp doesn't have reverb and I've been wanting a good tube-driven spring reverb for a while, and I saw a killer deal on this one which I had been looking at for a while. I still plan to sell it when I'm done with the trace, but it's always nice to not dump a bunch of money up front into the process.Did you say what the reverse engineering project is?
Welp, looks like I may be selling some personal collection pedals this weekend. I accidentally bought a guitar. I wasn't planning on it, I wasn't in the market, but I clicked a link and fell in love, so needless to say I need some cash
I have one of (I think) everything I offer, anyone want anything?
Pics of the Guitar or it didn't happen! LOL
Whatcha got on the chopping block?
Doh! Just saw it was one of everything you offer!![]()

It has a couple too many strings, the neck is too short, the strings are too thin, etc, but I fell in love. It's a Tennessee Electric Artisan, custom made in Nashville with a gorgeous walnut burl.
