The Space Heater is one of my favorites...it does everything so well!
Redundancy Scissors sounds like a pretty good album title to me. Or at least a song title.
Just got home from the studio and giving the Finally and the Smoke Stack the initial once over with a pair of additional very critical eyes and ears.
The Finally got approval all around, it is in essence a Space Heater with the addition of a DI, mine is the classic Jensen. We wound up doing all the tracks with my bass straight to the Finally xlr out direct to A/DA converter to the computer. No additional processing needed it sat in the nearly finished track like GOD. We usually use a Manley Voxbox or some other voodoo but that was not necessary today.
Absolute Magic! I may need to add a second with the LBA.
The Smoke Stack got everyone's attention but the (biased and quick) assessment was a touch too modern, I will have to spend more time tomorrow as I am watching the Astros tonight.

Haha, modern might be a matter of perspective. I'm jumping from a B7k to that and felt completely opposite as you.

Mini-tube Slampegg user here who just got the Finally. The Space Heater part sounds effortlessly huge. It's quick. The LB DI transformer adds a certain console feel, like some extra vibrations, it just sits in there.
I had my Space Heater off of my pedalboard while trying other pedals for the past week, and I just put it in front of the Smoke Signal (slight clean boost just above unity gain), and it sounded incredible through my Ampeg V4B Reissue. What was going to be a quick test resulted in 45 minutes of continuous playing followed by removing most of the other pedals from my pedalboard.
ok... here's a little something I whipped up real quick while wife and kids weren't around. I'm just noodling some basic riffs.. pick first then fingers later. I tossed some duality fuzz at it and some Harmonic Booster the duality is out of shot but you can tell when I'm using it.
There are a few parts that the youtube compressed pretty hard I noticed when I watched the play back.
Anyways, enjoy if you can get past my novice noodling.

That brite edginess is what we noticed that was out of place for the particular music of the day, certainly not that it was a bad thing. I'm hoping to have a chance to live fire it this weekend after I build a board tomorrow.
@bassbrad gotcha, this amp is super bright as well. When I DI I think I'm going to use my genzler. I'm just shocked at the dirt channel and how crazy it gets early in the gain. 8-9 is already getting really rowdy. I'm in love with how thick the clean channel is

1. Frequency points of the EQ?
2. Any online resource you'd recommend to understand better the process of biasing FETs? I've noted the factory settings and know how to use my multimeter but am not sure if I may damage the transistors in the process... I'm in particular interested in exploring the range of the FK, from milder distortion (FETs closer to linear operation?) to sputtery intermittent nonsense.Thanks!
2. I'll look around to see if I can find anything. The way I have Fluffy Kitten designed there is absolutely no way to damage the pedal by playing with the bias pots, so you don't need to worry about that. Typical guidance is to bias them such that the voltage at the drain is 1/2 of the supply voltage, so for a 9V typical the most common JFET bias point is 4.5V. I started with that on all of them and tweaked to my ears and wrote down what the voltages were, but I'll have to find where I wrote that down (hopefully soon as there are 11 FK orders for November).

That's going to happen as soon as I decide to have the time (I don't find time, I don't make time, I just decide there is time) to do it. I think I have 20 boards, probably keep one for myself and maybe sell 19? But it's on my radar.
I really like the Space Heater. I have yet to find anyone that has tried it that hasn't. It's a very easy pedal to like. But if I add an EQ bypass switch to Underground Accelerator, there will literally be no difference between the two. Space Heater was basically Particle Accelerator without the EQ, and Underground Accelerator is basically Space Heater with the EQ added back in but in a slightly different way than Fender/Alembic did it.
My hands are ready at anytime if this were to happen.

Yessir. Typical pedals run around 235V, hand-wired PA (technically UA) ran 350V. That's what this will run as well.
And with that higher voltage, there's more "color" from the tube?
That's one way to put it, yup. It's hard to put it in really solid words, but it's just MORE. More rich, more full, more colorful, more volume (which I will be dealing with so this Space Heater doesn't melt your amp/interface), more toanz.
