I tried to talk to Zvex about the NanoHead at NAMM a few years ago and he intentionally ignored me, making up excuses to talk to everyone but me. I guess because my badge said "Guest" instead of "Buyer"? Rubbed me the wrong way.

A mini 6L6 amp would be neat, but small lunchbox is really as small as you're going to get, 6L6 transformers don't really get mini. I'll look into it one of these days. Along with Gondwana, Greenhouse, 500 Series rack preamp, 6SL7 SBVT preamp, and probably a dozen other things stashed somewhere in my brain that aren't coming up right now.

I need to take care of myself so I can live long enough to finish all these projects :p

I hear ya and you're always stewing through ideas. A mini 6l6 amp the size of a micro terror or even a little bigger if needed would be cool to try.

Rehearsal report!

I ended up switching my two Sushi rolls: Particle Accelerator on the small board (coupled with Hyper Luminal & Linden EQ etc), and Slampegg moved to the big board. That's where it was when I asked about running it at 12V (while I was running it at 12V like a naughty boy). It didn't seem to mind, but I felt risk-averse, so switched it back to 9V while letting it cool down.

Remember that I had the thing with the Particle Accelerator making a bunch of pedals on my big board blink a few times before stabilizing, esp running at 9V? Well, the Slampegg at 9V does none of that on that board, and it's got more pedals than ever on it.

So last night, I was playing a Scary Pockets cover, and found that running a Xerograph Deluxe in envelope mode with the resonance cranked produces spikey sweeps that can push the Slampegg from clean to dirty territory, which also levels those spikes out, and it's fabulous. I haven't been able to play my Kiesel Aries 6-string fretless bass out much, but it sounded 400x more awesome than when I'm plugging straight into my home practice amp (BA-110 v2, which ain't bad either).

Maybe I haven't bought more pedals because these are just too good! (and not because I'm extremely poor after buying that bass)

Currently undecided. I don't love the time it takes to put together the custom memory for each one, but not having options and forcing people into effects they might not use also isn't very cool. So I'm still on the fence.

You know I love my Echosaurus !

If you do decide to reintroduce the Robot Butterfly I suggest having 5 standard effects : chorus, flange, phaser, vibrato, delay. Another option would be if a customer wants additional effects or changes to those standard sounds then additional programming fees and delivery time to be included.

Well I use an 8-way switch and the memory can hold 8 effects so it makes sense to do 8. Maybe I'll look through the past orders and find the most commonly ordered 8 and make those standard, then have an upcharge if you want something different.

It's funny because just today somebody posted here about those new $99 JHS Series 3 pedals, which from what I understand are just pedals with the FV-1 chip and each pedal just has one effect loaded into it.

I wanted to say 'well just go get a Robot Butterfly and you can have 8 of them in one pedal for 1/4 the price' but I remembered they were no longer available so I couldn't do it!

Yup, the delay, reverb, and chorus are all the same circuit with a different patch loaded. I haven't looked at his schematic, but I'd imagine it's pretty similar to the example circuit from the FV-1 datasheet that everyone uses. So yup, a Robot Butterfly would get you there.

I was just looking at those JHS pedals yesterday. Knowing this now, I’d much rather buy a Sushi. ;)

So Thursday night my furnace stopped working so I spent a couple hours working on that and didn't get much pedal work done (got the house warmed back up though). Tonight my oven stopped working, and I just spent 2 1/2 hours working on that, so I got no pedal work done (finally getting my cookies baked though).

Taking bets on which of my appliances will fail next and how much time it will take to fix.

Hopefully not the dryer because the lint trap is full of lost Sushibox pedals...

P Bass into Smoke Signal into this Little Bastard is a freaking riot! Can't wait to add some fuzzy kitten into this! The dirt channel on the SS is rowdy as hell already, that and adding the Harmonic Booster in gives all the dirt plus clear defined bottom end.
