The UA is the bomb!@Sushi Box FX Sounds like the Underground Accelerator is in my wheel house.
I can vouch for Finally as well. It is an excellent tube preamp and DI, I opted for the classic Jensen version but I'm sure the LBA version is just as excellent. Nice tube warmth in a small easy to power package. From reading the site, Finally the DI sounds mighty interesting too.
I have a PAX and UAX and there’s really nothing that jumps out as a difference except the UAX has more room before it breaks up which in my utterly useless opinion makes it more practical for bass. But geez, they both sound awesome on a guitar too. Slampegg is really smooth and versatile too. The demos are pretty subtle. I use the PAX (or the JC Emerald) with my bass amp, the Slampegg I have tied to my tiny PJB practice amp which sounds sterile otherwise. I have been loving the Ambassador on my guitar. Haven’t tried it on my bass.@Sushi Box FX Sounds like the Underground Accelerator is in my wheel house.
Meatsmoke - not sure if that was based on something else…Which legendary 2 channel preamp is the Smoke Signals based on? I'm guessing Twin / Showman /F2B... Seems like that could be a very useful device...

Any idea on the tone stack ?

Haha I know. Sorry. I think the UAX is my favorite for bass. The build slot limits keeps you from going overboard.@Killing Floor and @bassbrad Thanks! Though this is not helping my GAS at all...
I should probably put a note on the website to this effect as I don't remember if I announced it anywhere but here, but there will not be a December batch, I'm taking the month off (to some extent). I'm planning to open January slots sometime in December, that will be the next opening for custom builds, but I do have a handful of in-stock builds that I will eventually figure out how to list on the website.PAX and Slampeg are ordered. If I get a Dec build slot, It will be a Finally DI.
Plan is small board with the 2 pre's into an SFX MicroMix on the right, cabled to another small board with HX StompXL and Future Impact in a loop on the left. Cable back to the right board for the DI.
Now to design a small board that will also house my PowerMax, the 2 preamps and micro mix. I have a Sweetfoot powering the HX and Future impact.
Other part of my chain is that the DI goes to our board, I take a dedicated bass monitor feed to a QSc Plx II 1804 and a fEarful12/6 cub and 12 sub cube stack. I put a little kick into that mix just to keep me locked.
I'm pretty sure this will keep me entertained for the slow winter season.
The Finally is fantastic. Love it. Warms up the signal, adds a little gruntif you want it - it was love at first hear for me!From reading the site, Finally the DI sounds mighty interesting too.
@4Mal FWIW Meatsmoke is a tremendous sounding pedal with great tones and options but in the end just a but too on the edge for my needs. As @Kendescending describes the circuit has certain characteristics that many like while others don't.
