The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

@Sushi Box FX , had a dinner date with the wifey this evening. Snapped these in honor of you! ;)
:D:roflmao:

No idea if the second pic is actually sushi, it's not my thing, but I thought it looked cool.

BTW, if you do decide to unload your personal Finally!, I'd gladly take that off your hands...;):D

That is indeed a yummy platter of popular sushi for two. Curiously sushi is served in rashes of 3 so there is always a bit of give and take between diners choosing favorites.

So I was able to fix the two pedals that weren't passing the play test, the only pedals left that aren't done are the Black Eyes (should be finished tomorrow) and the Smoke Signals (should be finished Monday).

On an unrelated note, I got rough mixes of the songs I recorded at that studio last week. Two of them are okay but I don't really consider them complete, but I'm excited about how this one turned out. Featuring Black Eye on guitar and Underground Accelerator on bass.

Things I have ready to go right now:
JC Emerald X (x2)
SBVT (x1)
Space Heater (x2)

Things I expect to have ready in a week or two:
Sashimi Fuzz (potentially as many as 5)
Echosaurus (potentially as many as 6)
Slampegg X (x1)
King Nothing (x1)
Fluffy Kitten (x1)

I think all of them are full color finish except the Slampegg and King Nothing, which are raw/simple. I'll find out for sure tonight.
I have to have the Fluffy Kitten.

I dig it!

Got a new circuit board order in today, pretty excited about this one. Parts should be in tomorrow, and I think this will probably be the first thing I build during my break. My 6x10 cab has been feeling lonely without a sexy 6SL7/6L6 tube head on top of it, so that needs to be fixed.

Are we looking at a one off or the “ future flagship “ of the SB empire ? I vote “ flagship “ …… Kelly
Definitely planning for one-off. Amps are tricky for me because I'm no good at metalwork or woodwork. This B-15N board was designed to be a drop-in for the B-25B, the only reason I'm attempting the build is because the chassis and cabinet are ready to go. I'm not opposed to building amps, but it would require me to find a solid source for chassis (kind of have one already) and cabinets (definitely don't have one).

I would do things for a smallish standalone 6L6 watt poweramp…
It's on the radar. Not sure if I'll have time to get to it during this break, but I'll look into it for the next break. As mentioned above I'm not sure what I would do for a cabinet, but I could at least see how small of a chassis I could get it into.

12A*7 would be cheaper and smaller for the phase inverter, but 6SL7 would have more mojo. Decisions, decisions.

IMHO Mojo for the win.

That is just the front end, you have a good transformer and power block to go along with a chassis and cabinet?

I have a B-25B that I'm gutting, I'm keeping those transformers, and the power supply is in there. Going for solid state rectifier to save space, diodes are on the far left of the board, and obviously the big caps on there are power filtering.

Ironically this was order 666. And yes, it has a red LED.

Oh heck yeah! I know where this is going! Did "someone" order it knowing the order number? Or did the "order number" cause the buyer/host to select black and the red light? Or is the real victim my neighbor? Lots to think about.

A SB 6L6 power amp would be something. If it's not giving away secrets or being a bit cheeky can I ask what kind of output the unit might have?
I haven't put anything on paper yet, but if I were to base it on the B-15N output section it would be 30W class AB. It can be biased to get more juice out of it though obviously, Fender has class AB 6L6 amps with 60W or so. I'm of the opinion that more power is better, especially on bass, but I don't want to sacrifice tone for power.

Needless to say this is not a design I will be rushing to throw together, I'm going to take my time on this one, probably do a few revisions. No idea when it would end up being ready, so nobody hold your breath.
