Agreed, especially for those couple months the silver XLR jacks were out of stock and I ended up with black XLR jacks. They cost a little more, but it may be worth continuing with the black ones, they look super sharp.

Don’t know which preamp config you have but the active Kiesels don’t lack any mids at all.
18v Vol, Bld, Tone, and stacked tre/bass and single coils
+1 but I will say I liked their standard active pre for the JB over their mid-sweep pre that can come in the rest of their models. Had I known about Sushibox then, although not sure if it was a thing when I had Kiesel's, I would've loved to have tried the 2 together.
I concur that a red LED looks good too.
I’m curious, what are the dimensions of the sh? It looks tiny..

Well, awhile back, someone commented on combining a SH with a Finally for some super warm tone.
No dice for me. Put the SH near the beginning of the pedal chain and the Finally at the end. I did get a warmer, fuller, richer, tone. But I also got noise artifacts (whine, etc.).
Let me emphasize that there was a tasty warmer, fuller, richer tone when using them in combo!!!
I haven't given up. Will continue to experiment.
Bottom line: either the SH or the Finally by itself adds some great tone!

They actually brought back the SB style bodies with the Thanos headless bass.
It's pretty small. Hammond 1590B is the name of that enclosure size, dimensions are 4.43 in x 2.38 in x 1.22 in (113 mm x 60 mm x 31 mm) per Hammond's website.
The DIY version will have to go in a 125B, which is the next size up and the size I use for UA, Lab Rat, Finally, etc.
I was surprised with my first Sushi Box FX pedal, it was smaller than expected. Mr. Box gave the dimensions just above, but for reference the typical Broughton enclosure is slightly larger in every dimension (Hammond 1590N1 I think vs. Sushi's 1590B).
I know I've asked this here before, and we're maybe a little far removed from this now since it's been discontinued for so long, but has anyone tried running the Westinghouse at line level, ie. in the FX loop of an amp?
I haven't, but I have every reason to expect it to perform fine with a line level input. I'm pretty sure I own more Westinghouses than anyone else, I could absolutely try it if I remember to do so.
I guess I'm going to need to try it in the FX Loop on my Aguilar Tonehammer 500, next time I have a chance to sit down and make real noise instead of using headphones.
Yeah I would love to promise I'll do it next time I play, but with all these damn pedals I haven't even touched my bass in over a month :-/ maybe I need to get rid of the looper for testing and use my actual bass. It's less efficient but damn I miss playing.
