The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

No photos to add yet, but I did ask @Sushi Box FX to take some LED-on photos when he has a chance so I can.
If anyone has their pedal and wants to snap a good high-quality photo with the LED on with the tubes glowing, I'll totally start building the page. Just shoot it over to me in a PM so we don't spam the thread too much
I can take hi res pictures. Are the LEDs easily interchangeable? If so, I could knock them all out on one pedal with a macro lens.

Since when is posting pictures of pedals in a pedal thread considered spam? lol
That’s what I was thinking. The more pictures the merrier.

Let me rephrase: if you have a real high-def photo that is 10+mb, please send it to me instead of making one thread-page take up someone's whole data plan :D
Otherwise go wild :wacky:

Not easily; they're soldered in, and different LEDS requiring different resistors as well.
Sushi was going to mock photos for it with all the different colors, I wouldn't worry too much about trying something like that.

Or just plop some super glue on the trimmer once it's set. ;)
If I was really responsible I would throw a resistor in there to cap the max value so people couldn't blow up their pedal even if they tried. Maybe I'll throw that in the next batch of boards I order.

Sorry Sushi, I've just been skimming lately. To confirm, the new X series pedals draw less current, but require 12V supply, correct?
Correct, mini tube pedals run 9V and pull 500-600mA, if I remember right (it was back in the thread somewhere) X series need 12V and pull about 250mA.

The last of my parts orders are out for delivery today so I should be able to finish up the X series builds and get started on the Deep Dish. It may all happen tonight, but I have band practice tonight so we'll see how much time I have.

I’m just saying it’s better to have someone do all of the LED pictures so there’s consistency is the picture quality, size and composure. Sushi should probably do it since he has his hands on a lot of them. ;)

I do have a good handful, yup.

What’s your band Sushi/what kindof music do you play?
The band is called Dead In Chicago, I just joined a couple months ago when their last drummer quit. It's all original music so it's hard to pin one genre on it, but it definitely falls under the hard rock/alternative umbrella.

Dead in Chicago

Decided to not do a video, but figured an audio only cover would make everyone happy! So here is the intro section of The Who's Behind Blue eyes with my Dr Wattson into a Science 6x10 cabinet simulator. Gain is around 2'oclock and I'm using a jazz bass with 60's pickup spacing

ugh. its public, but im wondering if copyright things are blocking it.

edit: just checked. Copyrights are blocking it. Anyone got another platform to share audio files?
Not sure if it still works, used to be able to just slow your track down to half speed; then when people play it back, they just pick 2x speed.

Sounds great! I could go for a Yuengling right about now... I wish they were easy to find on the left coast.

they just became available here in Indiana 2-3 years ago. It was like a national holiday! Now all my family and friends out of state ask for me to bring a case when I come to visit.

That's ridiculous! It's the oldest brewery in the US and couldn't get its product over two states until 2-3 years ago?! Even tough, it has been all over the eastern seaboard for years.

It’s been in FL as long as I can remember. Every time we went on vacation there, we’d load up on the way back.

can we get a sushi box pedal with beer type name?
