Mal, as far as tone shaping for use with a simple pre-amp pedal, have you tried either of these?
The idea of a parametric EQ for a more surgical EQ tweak is something that has worked well for me.

In my rack rig (yes, I still have one though it rarely leaves the abode...) the Preamp is an old BBE BMaxT. A Fender/RCA tone stack but after the stack is a single semi-Parametric band. I just ignore the compressor and sonic MaxiMangler. It really is a very good preamp for those of us into the Fender sound. I'd love an F1X but not enough to spend on one ;-)

Hey guys, I'm home now. I didn't completely ignore the thread while I was away, but I did let messages and emails pile up, so I'm digging through those now. My new circuit board order showed up while I was away so I'll be working on the last couple HW Finally for the June batch this weekend to wrap that up. Also I have a handful of repairs that came in before I left that I'm going to be diving into before starting on the July batch.

A little late night recording, adding some real toobz to the simulated toobz in the Axe I/O-Amplitube. Amplitube is great, but it's just not the same as real toobz.

That looks Awesome! I’m so happy to see the SH layout has changed with both controls on the left and the tube on the right. I’m hoping mine gets delivered in the next few days.
I have a lot more than 2 delays already. But the Box is hard to beat for a tape sim.
I think I've only done one or two of these in white, I love how it comes out with that artwork.
Another IEM gig with my tribute band.
Venue was hopping, had a jam packed floor and great vibe. We played and sounded great. Man I love this board. It is going to remain this way for some time.
We have some big fests coming up and this is what I will feed the mains with.

I think only the hand-wired versions use that layout
Hey Dr. Sushi, any idea when the More will be available for purchase??
I did some quick tests and I think I like the UA in front of the Markbass Compressore. The Compressore sounds the same either way but with the UA in front I get the touch sensitivity I want. I have used Fender tone stacks for 30+ years but I have never tried one with the treble at 10, mids at 10 and bass at 0, I always had some bass like at least at 2 or 3. The way the treble rolls off the bass when it is at 10 and the bass is at 0 works great for my Rivoli, so good, that I took the cheap EQ pedal off my pedal board.

Nice collection! Rainbow's End is a fantastic looking finish. I really hate that it will no longer be offered, I wanted to eventually get something in that finish

Fractured Cherry was my favorite, then it went away. I also loved the Green Apple...gone. Now my favorite is the Sparkly White. Gone. But at least I got a pedal or two in each of those colors, along with the Orange for my London Underground.
