Got my Wattson. If only bank transfers didn't take a week to get into paypal I would have grabbed my Slampegg too. Oh well. LU will be here in a few weeks. Can't really complain.

There is a positive to not having funds. In addition to the Dr. Wattson that I ordered and the Slampegg that I didn't, I would have ordered a Deep Dish (or at least a slot for it), and I still haven't finished deciding between the two amazing compressors I already own. I thought the Cali 76 would put that problem to rest, but now I'm toying with my Photon Death Ray. I will not keep both, and throwing the DD into the mix might send me over the edge. Who am I kidding, I left that edge high in the dust years ago.

Sorry I fell behind on answers for a bit, my kids let me fall asleep on the living room floor after dinner, it's been a long couple days at my real job :p

I didn't see the sample for Rainbows End... anyone have a picture?
The Particle Accelerator X I posted a few pages back was finished in Rainbow's End, but it's difficult to really capture the coolness of it in a picture. Basically is has multi-colored glitter all over it so when the lighting changes you catch a different color reflecting off of it. Super neat.

Do you thing even with the Slampegg having less output than the PA that it could drive a Power Amp?
Depends on the input sensitivity of the power amp, but possibly? It still gets above unity, just not as hot of an output as some of the others.

Sorry for all the posts/questions.

I'm in favour of a tube DI box if/when it comes about, but was there any more discussion regarding adding a DI out to pedals such as the PA and Slampegg?
I'm thinking it's going to happen. I still have the Noble preamp disassembled and sitting on my workbench for me to figure out what makes it tick, but unless there's some magic ingredient I'm not expecting I don't really expect to do anything resembling a clone of it. More likely I'll do a similar D.I. adaptation with the Particle Accelerator as the preamp. I already know what D.I. transformer they use and it's the exact one I was planning to use anyway, so anything else I learn from it will just be "okay, that's neat."
