the talkbass bass

It's a Yamaha RBX 550. I owned one about 15 years ago in the exact same color (which is actually a metallic cream). I couldn't find a pic of the 550, but here's the 500 in cream-
Invalid Link Removed. Add a J and you've got the 550. It was a helluva nice bass. Like an idiot I traded it in on an SR400. Oh well, early 90's mistake.

I'm not convinced. That has bevels on the cutaways - the TB bass doesn't.

I'm starting the "What is the Talkbass Bass Club." Who wants numbers?

Note: I'm not really starting a club about this, just trying to interject a bit of humor into this thread due to an almost pathological need for attention. Now that we've got that out of the way, I'm What is the Talkbass Bass Club #1. :p

either way,im going to go ahead and number myself. talkbass bass club #3.

I don't see it either. Compare where the upper horn connects with the body... It's at the 15th fret, not the 17th, for one, and also, it's not beveled like the Yamaha.

I've always thought it was an 80's Jazz Bass Special (the color and fretboard definitely match Duff's old basses), but the upper horn on the Fender Prodigy has me wondering...

Not to derail, but can someone give a brief history on the Prodigy's? I've never seen one of those before..
