It lasted a bit longer, but now....:P after checking out the instrument extensively, "I'm afraid 'll have" to purchase it...;) :)
It not only looks beautiful, but it plays and sounds even better...:hyper:although the bridge is not yet ideal and needs to be replaced..
very impressive, how "fast" the bass reacts and how balanced, mature and dynamic he already sounds, even though he is still so young...:P

So... now that I've ‘finally managed’ to get the bass home... (there were ‘a few problems’ with the post office, including a ‘lost’ and then opened parcel... :banghead:) I'm still ‘deeply impressed’ by the instrument..:hyper: In the meantime, I also have an “idea” why ‘so much comes out’ of it..;) It's simply a ‘pretty big’ bass... The strange thing is that I didn't notice this at all when I was testing and playing it before...😇 based on how it felt when I played it, I thought it was ‘at most’ as big as my Nobles... the surprise came when I was packing it up and it barely fit into my ‘usual bass bag’, which had always fit ‘all my basses’ before...:P
and when it was standing next to my Primus at home, that was visually confirmed as well...;)

The body size seems to lean more towards a 4/4 bass as its usual with Rogeris...the more astonishing is the really good playability and how "fast" the instrument reacts...:P
Not the best light to take new pictures... but one appetizer..;)

A friend of mine bought it directly from Ioan Bukur and brought it to Germany...The setup is fine so far, but there's still room for improvement... There was a small problem with the bridge, but Ioan made a new one and sent it. This bridge still needs to be optimally adjusted, but it already works well as it is...

The price might also depend ‘a little’ on the ‘category’ of the instrument...so you can find instruments from the workshop of Ioan Bukur and some "master built" basses, which differ ‘slightly’ in price...;)

Double Bass Thread 'This 100+ year petite bass is going for another century , DBPRD ( Double Bass Post Repair Day )'

Well -- This bass is either 1890's estimated when I was in San Diego but Hannah Mayne estimates it between 1920 - 1930, possibly Czech or Austrian ( the country of origin was what the original owner told me ) She just finished working on it.

My little bass that is loud arco once you get to G2. it is louder than my 3/4 arco. The scale is 38.5 , Eb neck , Will probably be back for a fret dress It has a lot of repairs already and the top has been taken off since I've owned it.
