SERIOUSLY. I watched the game summary last night and they showed both those plays. I absolutely couldn't believe it. Varejao literally FELL on Dwight Howard, no call. Lebron slips and he gets 2 free throws. I'm just glad that such egregious errors didn't end up costing the Magic a win.

No kidding, as bmv pointed out, they rescinded that one, but it was a totally stupid call. I don't see how they could make it to start with...:confused:

The conspiracy theorist that lives buried deep within my brain immediately saw this as another bit of evidence that "certain agencies" have an agenda that includes LeBron ending up facing Kobe in the finals yet again. However, it being so BLATANT that there was nothing resembling a T on that play, and it being shown over and over on replay forced the NBA to overturn it, lest it become OBVIOUS (instead of just obvious ;) ) there is some bias.

Of course, we all know that cannot be the case....(as I try to ignore the LeBron/Kobe Nike puppet commercial for the upteenth time...:spit: )

As for the game last night, the Nuggets just fell apart in the 4th quarter, assisted by the fact that the Lakers started actually playing like a team. I still think the Nuggets will push it to 7.

As for the Cavs/Magic, it ends tonight, the third time this post season the Magic close it out on the opponent's home floor. The Cavs have no solution for them, and I don't think it will even be close, you could see the "quit" in the Cavs in the OT period. They'll start the game out like that tonight....there will be sackcloth and ashes in the offices along Madison Avenue...:D

I have a friend that thinks I am nuts ( I constantly speak out about conspiracy calls during the NFL season). He used to really go out of his way to argue the fact that I was hallucinating... The more Magic games he watches in this post-season the more he thinks I am not so crazy... The Kobe/James commercials only help drive my point home.

The Magic always play better in someone else's house. I am gonna get out the popcorn for the game tonight!

I don't think they played poorly at all. Take away the best player on any of the other teams and think how they'd do:

Lakers without Kobe (wouldn't even make playoffs)
Cavs without Lebron (worse than the above)
Magic without Dwight
Rockets without Yao (we saw that, and to me, they and the Celts acquitted themselves well)
Hornets without CP3
Mavs without Dirk
Spurs without TD
Detroit without Billups. Oops. :D

I'm just sayin'. Without KG, they're not the same team.

Yeah, I think the C's played way better than everyone expected. There were some weak spots for sure (i.e. Allen's inconsistency) but they did pretty well for not having their best player. I don't think KG will ever come all the way back after surgery, so our rivalry will have to wait...

LAKERS!
