I'm surprised no one has mentioned log chain - 15 feet and at least 3/8th inch with good hooks on both ends. A four wheel drive tractor is also good to have around.

A Mag Light. I have literally used them as hammers with no ill effects. I beat the crap out of one so bad that it stopped working and I thought I had broken it. I had actually destroyed the batteries and the light its self was totally fine.
