I've only seen those used for one purpose, and that one purpose is, er... extremely uncommon outside Berlin and San Francisco. What do you use a sharpened spoke for?

Ace Hardware used to have a great little compact socket, ratchet and bit kit. Sometimes they have it, sometimes they don't. I have one in the bike, every car, garage and shed.
5 and 10 lb sledge. Some things you just need to beat into submission.
Assorted lengths of steel pipe. Give me a lever and I will move the world.
Stainless screws and hardware. Assorted into plastic bins with dividers and little labels. Never rusts.
Micronta (Rat Shack) voltmeter. Required for chasing down those pesky electrons that seem to get away.
Cheapo battery tester. Saves getting the voltmeter out.
Sharpie. Now I know which gas can has the mix.
Acetone. Dissolve stuff alcohol won't.
Cheap one use brushes.
Bench grinder with wire wheel on one side.
Air compressor.
Sanding sticks. Work on my broken nails too.
Clear Coat and Red nail polish. Locktite and mark my stuff.
Heat shrink tubing.
Reusable cable ties.
Pocket knives.
Wire cutters.
Soldering gun.
Propane torch, with igniting mechanism.
Generator.
Mig or Tig welder, if I could afford it.
Cutting torch.
Bridgeport milling machine.
Still.
Chain fall/come-a-long.
Automatic cd buffer.
One remote to do absolutely everything.

Bike shop trick. Mostly used for rounding out cable housing liners after cutting; also useful as a small alignment tool, among other things. I keep a couple around, and I reach for one a lot. They're strong, they're stainless, and they're easy to handle.

Spare flapper and fill valve, because they're going to die
I keep a spare sewage pump and float valve for the same reason. It will die and not when the industrial pump place is open.

AeroKroil from Kano Labs. That stuff will loosen anything except stuff in California.

I know I do. Well, I'm working on the dump truck, but other than that....
Lots of stuff I forgot being brought up by some of the other guys too. Makes me kinda proud to be associated with yuse bastids.
Anything automotive, tool, gun or alcohol wise I have. Pit bulls too. I think my neighbors love me and fear me all at the same time..... it's a good place to be.
