View attachment 3202869 In regards,to the amp I have been asking questions on distortion problems. Have come to conclusion to open up the amp,and check to see if tubes may be loose. Don't have another speaker enclosure to see if is the cabinet causing the distortion. Does anyone have any instruction on taking the amp out of the cabinet? I watched a video, and looks like there are 4 screws that have to be removed, and the amp just drops down to be removed? Any comments or help would be appreciated. Thanks!
The all tube versions have four screws in the bottom of the case. Remove the screws and the the chassis slides out the back.
I found this image of a 300H chassis. Although the chassis construction is totally different from the all tube head, I suspect getting the chassis out is about the same.
Unless you have electronic skills, I would not do much beyond blowing out the dust bunnies, reseating connector plugs, and swapping out the two tubes if they are bad.
The amp has potentially lethal voltages, so be careful.
