Whoa. My dream board has changed considerably, and for the better.

From the FX send of the preamp, instead of a loop-master, I now have a custom GigRig board in the FX loop of the Forge preamp, and this board has adjustable input/output buffers, 8 loops, 12 switches (8 for switching loops on and off, 4 "preset" loop configurations), a wet/dry mix on each loop, and a tuner out, which also serves as an output mute. Out of the GigRig, an Aphex 204 AE/OBB for post-board fattening/enhancing of overtones, Rane DC24 as post board compressor, ISP Decimator ProRackG as post-everything noise cancellation, back into the FX Return of the preamp.
Loop 1: Pigtronix Philosopher's Tone-->MXR M-288 Bass Octave Deluxe
Loop 2: SamAmp Tube Preamp
Loop 3: Eventide PitchFactor-->Line 6 FM4-->3Leaf Audio Groove Regulator (w/ Subdecay Noise Box in loop)
Loop 4: Tech 21 VT Bass-->Xotic BB+ Preamp-->WMD Geiger Counter
Loop 5: R³ Schwartz Fuzz-->ZVex Vextron Mastotron-->Barber Trifecta-->ISP Technologies Decimator
Loop 6: Blackout Effectors Whetstone-->HBE Frost Bite Flanger-->HardWire CR-7
Loop 7: HardWire RV-7-->TC Electronic Nova Delay
Loop 8: DigiTech JamMan Phrase Sampler
So essentially, I have this board set up fairly linearly: Basic tone in the first loop (tone modification via Submarine, allowing the P's T to compress that tone modification or add its own character as well, and then the compressor smoothing attack for better tracking from the 288).
Synthy stuff in loop 2 (you'll sometimes see guitarists running some kind of dirt or distortion before a harmonizer or filter, I'm just substituting it for synthy noises!)
Pitch/Filters in loop 3 (PitchFactor has too many functions to notate here, Line 6 FM4 for filter and synth versatility, switchability, and the ability to control filter sweeps via expression, and then the Xotic for the more genuine, organic filter sounds)
Dirt/LoFi in loop 4 (VT Bass for a kind of pre-grind OD, Germ OD for a smoother, fuzzy OD, Polysaturator for higher gain, Geiger Counter for lo-fi and craziness)
Fuzz in loop 5 (B:Assmaster for synth fuzz/MUSE tones, Trifecta for a more versatile, distinctive Muff palette, MessDrive for super synthy, smooth fuzz, and ISP noise cancellation because the noise will probably just about equal the signal level by now
)
Modulation in loop 6 (Whetstone for phasing/vibrato/ring and more, Frost Bite as a flanger with crazy options available, CR-7 for a versatile, organic chorus)
Delay/Verb in loop 7 (RV-7 for some ambience, plus the cool reverse mode, and Nova for versatile, clear, warm delay)
Finally, the looper in loop 8, for being able to record a bassline and solo over it with the previous pedals.
I've pretty much designed this board to be perfectly compatible with any instrument, but to be optimized for bass.
Yes, I am just as sad an individual as you think I am for having actually thought this all out, and no, I won't be able to afford any small part of this for the next five years.
But I sure have fun planning it.
