John If you would have put that darn thing down for a minute I might have been able to play it! I stood behind you while you were playing it sounds killer.

HEY NINO. Seems like a lot of guys like my other bass too. I bet if you showed next year with a 5 string ash/maple with single coils in the 70s position it probably won't make it home. That black 4 string was really close. Let's get Ivan to place his order, Ivan don't forget the 70s spacing on the rear pickup. Load her up with the Nordy 70s wind and ask Narud for the best preamp choice he's got it down. You don't need the AC electronics. Passive tone control too.

I made a video of me with my S24FJ5. What do you think?

All those videos sound great, Nino. I really like the way your Aguilar rig is sounding. The black bass has a nice modern midrangey J tone. Very cool!

EDIT: When I listen again, it's not really a J tone at all, is it? More of a modern dual humbucker tone - not what I would have expected out of those pickups. Must be the placement. In any case, it sounds great.

Pete you must have read my freakin MIND, last night while i was at work i was thinking everything you wrote here. Except i will be going ALDER body Olympic White, but every other spec you mentioned is dead on. So NINO soon my order will be in, and also you of course know it will be a FIVER.

Sounds nice...
Have you guys tried the Audere pre???
I really like it and think its a good match with the Nordstrands.

I'm not an Audere liker; YMMV, etc.

Personally, I think the Nord pre is the best match for the Nord pups, with Sadowsky being a great second choice if you prefer "a more active sound."

Just bought Valenti #6 today. It is one of the better P-Basses I have had the opportunity to play let alone own. Notes just jump off the fret board. Its off to its first gig tonight(and an R&B gig tomorrow). I don't have the greatest pic right now, but here it is:

Just came back from an R&B gig. 9 piece band with full rythmn section. The Valenti sounded perfect. Nailed the tone I was looking for. The neck is killer too. I think I may have to order a Jazz with big singles sometime down the road.

Everyone,

I thought I'd drop in to let you know that the new Fina Dupa album "Are You Happy Now?" has released today. Valenti #51 is on several tracks.

If you would like to listen or buy a copy, visit Link Removed where you can buy it directly or quickly link to the Amazon or iTunes listings.

Please enjoy, and play it loud.
