The Valenti Megathread Part III

Only four words: I Love Valenti Basses!

I had my fingers on some Sadowsky's and a couple of day after I had my fingers on some Valenti's. I have tried 3 or 4 different basses each, with different configuration.

My sentence is that both made good basses, but Valenti rules ... so much!

I fell in love with a J active ... Nino, I love your basses. I hope to see you again the next year, when I'll come back in NY.

After having my VTPJ5 for five days now, I’m sorry to inform you that…This bass will never be seen in the TB classifieds.
Since Thursday I have had six shows to test this bass out.
Lets go back to Thursday. The excitement of receiving the package from Mr. Valenti was nothing compared to actually playing one of his basses.

The fit and is finish is top notch. The string height is a bit lower then my normal, but I gave it a shot and really like it. The fingerboard is gorgeous and flat. The flatness of the board took a few songs to get used to. The neck is very comfortable and fast. The bass now feels like home!

The sound. Man, the last time I had this many compliments on my sound was during my senior college recital on upright. This bass sings with fatness and punch. I love the NP5 pickup and I am happy with the simplicity of going passive. The players in my classic rock cover band just kept looking over with a smile. The bandleader in my Polka band said that he only wants me to bring my “Valetti”(ha) to the gigs. My regular audience members loved the sound.

I’ve followed Nino’s threads ever since they came to TB and knew that his name would be on my next bass. Looking forward to many years of grooving with this bass.

That is pretty sexy. Glad you like the tone. It's always easier to raise action than it is to lower it.

I'm digging your 2-2x10 cabinet setup. I also do the "stack vertically" thing with mine, which are Eden 210XST cabinets. See below (sorry about the non-Nino bass, Nino):

Love the vertical staking. Did that with my old Eden rig before the TCE came out. I have a 2x10 on top of a 2x12. I like the Valenti much better when played through the TCE rig rather than the Eden.

My sonic blue wonder arrived. Far nicer in the flesh than onscreen (really). Fit, finish and setup as good as any bass I've seen or played. I'll resist gushing during the infatuation period and wait until some quality time has passed before saying more. Thanks NV!
