Nope. This is a keeper. Nordy pups, Aggie 2 band w/passive tone, Alder, Brazillian Rosewood. Strings are Fodera which is out in left field for me but I'd like to keep it's sound so I'm going to order some more.
Can you describe the difference? I have nordy pj nj4sv with a sadowsky pre and am curious about the Aguilars.I love the Aguilars. They replaced a Nordstrand PJ set I had in there and the bass came even more alive. (My bass also has a Sadowsky preamp w/VTC)
I get a lot of compliments from other musicians. I have the 70's set. I'm about to put a 60's set in my Fender Jazz bass. My future Valenti bass will have Aguilars as well.
That white pin (well, it's bigger than a pin I suppose) stripe is very classy. The Jazzes in this thread are really some of the nicest I've ever seen.View attachment 1017670 View attachment 1017671 This thread could use another bump.....
It's now 4 years that I've had my Valenti bass. By far, the best I've ever owned.
In addition to putting the w/b/w pickguard back on, I just gave it new strings, set up and a New Year's cleaning.
