Got myself a couple of early Xmas presents today... not sure which I'm trying first.

wow, I've looked at a few pages, and you know your craft brews my friend. I like craft brews, but it's not something I actively pursue, within the next few weeks I will be getting me a sixer of Creemore springs Urbock, I've heard Bock style beer with %6 abv. It's pretty malty, the hops are a bit more of an understatement from what I've heard. I guess I'll post some pics when I get it.

Just about to sit down to dinner and crack my first one open. My local stores are a chain with limited selections... I was local today but in a direction I never tread. I found a nice Mom and Pop place that had these 2 and about a dozen other brands I'm looking to try out.

I'll report back with my opinion on the Optimator later :)

anyone else ever have this stuff? I saw some when I was on vacation and got it. It was a couple of weeks ago, so I can't give an accurate description of it...but it was pretty dang good! And rich. Moylan's Kilt Lifter Scottish Style Ale

Optimator is definitely a good solid choice - had some Sunday night.

We went here for a "last meal before we all zoom off for the holidays" with friends and I had the Optimator, the Dopplebock, the Kristallweizen and a Kolsch that wasn't on the menu.

All excellent beers, especially the Dopplebock. Unfortunately they only had one left when I got there :(

I've been having a crappy day work-wise today - one of those days where you're so busy cleaning up other people's messes that you never get a chance to do your own job. Just got to the "punching stuff" point when I hear my wife's car pull up in the driveway. She'd stopped off on her way home from work to get me one of these:

You have to go back pretty far to have a 2 letter screenname, lol.

Dark beers- I was pleasantly surprised by Stone Smoked Porter tonight. Not too smokey. Good on a cold night like today.
