1 noor partner, whatever term suits you best. referred to as 'they' 'their; and 'them' here, but no offence meant if you prefer alternative/more relevant pronouns.
some questions, HONEST answers would be appreciated:
1. how supportive are they of you as a bass player?
2. do you have to go through them before buying new gear?
3. have you ever had to resort to a 'black money op'?
4. do you seek their consul regarding your playing?
5. do they attend your gigs if you are a gigging bass player or would you want them to if you aren't?
6. are they a musician too? if so, what instrument (or tool, if you prefer that terminology) do they play?
7. do they share the same music tastes as you?
8. how important is it to you that they share an interest in music?
thank you.
please feel free to add and answer any additional questions....
sorry to hear.9. She cheated and now im trying to get divorced lol
I wish it would besorry to hear.
hope it goes smoothly and amicably.
interesting.I already talked here about having "marriage credits". You collect them during the week so you can spend them when weekend comes.
Thanks, I know my response was not specificaly what you had in mind with your OP, but I thought it's worth mentioning.interesting.
always good to hear about ways of keeping a marriage happy.

me and the missus are heavily into role-playing.Thanks, I know my response was not specificaly what you had in mind with your OP, but I thought it's worth mentioning.
I don't have statistics, but my real life experience is that musicans are champions of broken mariages. That's weird, because music and performing is social construct.
to be honest. i'm always amazed to read how many wives gift their partners expensive basses. Are you just curious
1. Very. When she moved in with me, I feared for my gear, which takes up some space that is clearly visible from both the living and dining area of my house, but she insisted I keep it there because she likes to look at it. She's also very supportive of me going to gigs and rehearsals, on occasion cancelling her own plans to make it happen.1. how supportive are they of you as a bass player?

They're great! Kinda like...well, I'm not really sure how to describe them. It's Walter of Gorilla Biscuits (really nice guy, incidentally) fronting a post-hardcore band. Kinda like Fugazi meets Tool (mostly because Walter's vocals kinda sound like Maynard.)never heard of them. will check 'em out! cheers.
That's how I ended up on drums in my current main band! Guitar player/primary song-writer is an old friend of my wife's.She's the one who found my current main band (she knew the bandleader when he was looking for a bassist)
This is a really good idea.I have set aside a 'fun fund', which I stock up with clever gear sales and gig money, and I don't discuss how much I spend on what, as long as I can afford it from said fund.
you're a lucky fella for sure!My wife is just a downright amazing person. I often refer to her as my "Gift from God".
I'm blessed...that's all there is to it.

thank you for replying to it!Thanks for this great topic !![]()
