Durian - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"The smell evokes reactions from deep appreciation to intense disgust, and has been described variously as almonds, rotten onions, turpentine and gym socks. The odour has led to the fruit's banishment from certain hotels and public transportation in southeast Asia."
LOL guys. I'm Singaporean, and durian is eaten as commonly by families around here as people from Philly eat cheesesteaks. That being said, I don't like durians. LOL.
I don't think it smells like onions or anything for that matter, but whaddya know? I've probably got accustomed after smelling them for nearly 18 years! Haha. Obviously they don't smell pleasant though. Hahah I've only tasted and sampled them but have never dared to eat a fruit.
