Theme music from Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist

I recently found someone posted all the episodes from this series and I've been watching through them all and remembered how much I love the music in it. When it originally aired I was just starting out on bass so learning it was well beyond my abilities, and my ear for tone was hardly developed.



Now I'm actually taking the time to figure it out, and its got me thinking about the bass that was used in it. I realize the popular answer will probably be Precision Bass with flats, but at times it seems to be both too growly and too smooth for that. Any other thoughts on it, or just fans of the show/music in the show?

Love this show! Bought the complete series DVD's a few years ago. Great stuff here, and a great primer for the early work of H. Jon Benjamin, he of Archer, Bob's Burgers, etc., etc. I think that's definitely a P in the theme music, but, then again, what do I know?

Well that's fun trivia. I was actually attracted to the cartoon character though.

Haiku is an excellent band...Jim Wynne is a dynamo "lead bass" player. Real shame about Ted Reinhardt's passing...one of the greatest drummer's locally or anywhere. Gamalon was one of my favorite bands in the 80's; their first album is a killer! You from the area as well?

Went to UB in the early 90's so I saw Gamalon several times at CPG and a few other venues I can't remember. In Rochester now and come out to Buffalo to see Haiku at the Sportmens Tavern every other month…supposedly the first Wednesday of every month starting in January. $5 to get in. Best deal going. And because of the location they have to stop at 10:00 which works great for me.
Jim was just inducted into the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame…along with everyone else from Gamalon…as it should be. Ted was a monster behind the kit. Wait…you're doing a drum solo and playing The Stick at the same time !?!

I've had the wings, don't know about the 'greg' wings. Don't recall seeing them on the menu. Do I need a special code word to get them?

Nope, they're on the menu. They're dry-rub bbq and have hot sauce, as well as being grilled and fried, but I don't know what order all of this is done in.
